thespungo
For all you classics nuts, here's a 70s era Kansas City Royals uniform... I added a little texture to kinda get the feel that it was a thicker cottony type uniform. Also, the pants and shoes were completely re-done from the default EA throwbacks. My only question is, what kind of batting gloves should I use? I know not that many guys used batting gloves back then, but I gotta include them in my set so today's players can use something. Has anyone on this site made some retro batting gloves? Or if you post some pictures of old gloves, I'll see if I can craft some of my own. Royal Blues
That looks really sharp. If I could, I'd like to make one suggestion: I generally place the left half of the jersey script lower than the right. For some reason, it just looks more natural to me that way. Are you planning on any powder blue updates?
thespungo
Yeah, I have some powder blues that I did, but I don't know if they look all that sharp. But once those are done, I'm gonna release a Royals Retro pack with both 70s jerseys, a Monarchs jersey, a couple of powder blues, and then maybe one or two of last year's jerseys. Royal Blues
Very cool. Which Monarch's uni are you doing? I know they had two or three different ones. And on another note, the O-Royals are next on my list of PCL teams since I finally got a few pics, thanks to bigbully.
biker_jim_uk
I quite like this Monarchs uni
thespungo
I've never seen that Monarchs uni before, Jim, what year is that from? It looks more like some Monarchs fantasy thing. The Monarchs uni I'm doing is based off the retro day they had last year, so it will include modern shoes, gloves, wristbands, etc. Here are the uniforms that I'm including in my retro pack:
biker_jim_uk
I think it is a fantasy one, but I like it ;)
thespungo
Are you winking because you did it yourself, or because you're trying to send me a hidden message? This is a Royals thread, so you could say whatever you wanted in here and no one would see it... Anyways, these jerseys are just about done. Screenshots shall be posted in no less than one half hour. sfgiantsflgators
This is a Royals thread, so you could say whatever you wanted in here and no one would see it... a little late, but :lmao: :lmao: i'm a fan of the powder blues - they really should do like the Brewers started doing on Sunday's, and make it retro jersey day at the K. Yeah, that'd be alot of fun. It might even distract fans from the team for a little bit, which is a blessing in itself. As for this retro jersey pack, Royal Blues was slated to help out with some editing on a few jerseys, but I think he gotta kind of busy, so the project was postponed. Not that this delay was causing any hubbub with anyone, just thought I'd let it be known...
