krawhitham
Would someone help me out by testing the latest build of my program? Sim part of the game, and play part of the game. Then run this version of the box score extractor. Then post your game log. Also while you're testing could you try a double switch in the game? simmed innings 1 - 8 1/2 played 8 1/2 - 9 1/2 Won being home team double switched Adam Dunn for Chris Hammond and Ryan Freel for Brian Shackelford at the start of the 9th http://www.mindwarped.com/boxscore/testversion/CIN/CIN5.htm link to all files including test.dat http://www.mindwarped.com/boxscore/testver...ersion-cin5.rar
brewdog
When an error is commited the game log states "Player Name did not complete plate appearance." Where Player name is name of the batter. How about So and so reach base on an error? And is there any way to list pitching changes in the game log? BTW I applaud you for sharing your ingenious work with this community. I do have reached "reached base on an error". The game must have scored that particular play wrong. It happens sometimes. I might be able to show pitcher substitutions. krawhitham
Kraw, I was just looking at your boxscore again, and I noticed that you didn't have Walks or Strikouts in your pitching stats. Was that intentional or an accident? Sorry just noticed this message I'll fix this in a few minutes
krawhitham
If anyone gets the error with the game log not working even though you played the whole game. Please run the attached version of the program. It is exactly the same as v0.13 except it outputs part of the memory into a file name "test.dat". Then send me the test.dat file. played 100% of game also noticed that PC was not registerd for the Reds but were for the Pirates http://mindwarped.com/boxscore/testversion/CIN/CIN6.htm

C:downloadstest.rar: No files to extract ------ Anyway, the game must have not recorded one of the pirates player's at bats in the game log. That's why cincinnatti's pitch count didn't work. tywiggins
I still have a little work to do on the gamelog. I've fixed some errors. I've added links to the player names. I check if the file exists to give you a chance to rename or move the files. And I added in the 'X' option for exhibition games. (Though I haven't taken the season stats out yet). I should finish Kraw's layout tonight.

I don't know why the first one didn't work for me. I'm using Winrar 3.50. Jose Castillo's at bat in the top of the 7th was scored by the game as a (runner 3rd out). Even though he was the first to come up to bat. The Error column in the Fielding stats is too wide.

cybernetic
Top of inning 4 Shea Hillenbrand grounded out. Bengie Molina grounded out. Lyle Overbay doubled. Aaron Hill doubled. Russ Adams singled. Reed Johnson did not complete plate appearance (runner was the 3rd out) 1 runs, 3 hits Bottom of inning 4 Ramon Hernandez singled. Kevin Millar struck out. Luis Matos was walked. Corey Patterson did not complete plate appearance (runner was the 3rd out) Brian Roberts homered. Melvin Mora grounded out. 3 runs, 2 hits I don't remember what happened with Patterson's at-bat but I think he grounded into a force out. Aaron Hill/Russ Adams was a double steal.. Hill was caught stealing home and Adams stole 2nd before he did although it wasn't credited in the log. Top of inning 5 Reed Johnson grounded out. Alex Rios doubled. Vernon Wells singled. Troy Glaus struck out. 1 runs, 2 hits Another one, Wells was caught stealing 2nd for the 2nd out but it's not logged.

If you do a double steal and one runner gets caught, the other runner isn't supposed to get credit for the stolen base. Either both players get a stolen base, or neither player gets a stolen base. Stolen bases aren't part of the my log. (The game doesn't keep track of when a player stole a base)
tywiggins
Jose Reyes was caught stealing to end the innings. Are you sure it was Reyes? He shouldn't have been on base if he grounded out.

(The game doesn't keep track of when a player stole a base) Yeah but it was a delayed double steal and really it was a run down between 3rd and home. Adams stole 2nd long before Hill was caught in the run down
