After a hard drive crash, I have had to re-install downloads in MVP 2004.

Cannot for the life of me remember how I did something in MVPedit....

I have Poons.mbe file so I can edit everything in the Poon file..... I also re-installed the "classic" roster ( which I assume became the "default" roster in MVP2004).

I know MVPedit only works with "mbe" files but the only "mbe" file I find is the original Poon file.....and I remembered previously I was able to use MVPedit to make changes in both the "Poon" roster and the "Classic" roster.

For the life of me, I cannot remember how I got the "Classic" roster (which were comprised of individual .dat files) to become an "mbe" file so it will work in MVPedit.

I know I did it before...but sure cannot recall how.

Would certainly appreciate assistance.

When you open up MVPEdit, click on "Import". MVPEdit will prompt you to select the folder where your roster .dat files are. Once you select the folder, MVPEdit will prompt you to enter the name of the .mbe file that should be created for the roster you're importing. As soon as you enter the name, the .mbe file will be created and the roster files are imported.

Does this jog your memory?

Jim...

Ah....You are good!....I mean you are REALLY GOOD !

Very easy when you know how. :D

I would always get to the main "data" folder in MVP but couldn't recall what to do from there.

Life is good again!....

I do appreciate your help.

I'm glad I was able to help. There's nothing more frustrating than trying to do something that you know you've done before, but for some reason you can't remember how you did it.
