Datafile and linedrives/power editing

I edited my datafile to reduce homeruns because even at -50 power I was hitting two many homers (20 in less than 30 games with one player). I lowered the sweet spot in the <batter> column and the hr's dropped dramatically. However, the perfect linedrives for basehits became slow line drive outs to the infielders. Any suggestions?

I actually changed more things than just that, but only a couple because HR's were WAY too easy.

Ball size from 2.35 to 1.85

Inside Power from 2.5 to 2.0

Sweet Spot Power form 2.75 to 2.25

Outside Power from 2.0 to 1.5

yeah, like Buffa said, AudioAI is where to go. i lowered the BloopMaxDistPeakRatio. i noticed some more hits dropping in front of the fielders with that and that's with increased power in the ingame settings and in the datafile. i dunno, maybe i just suck but i had to increase the power settings in both to get a realistic amount of homers. i'm making a lot of good contact too so i dunno. have u tweaked any other settings?

I haven't touched AudioAI yet. This is my first time editing anything other than cameras in a datafile. I have the xls spreadsheet and a readme from an older datafile that gives a small tutorial. I changed some settings and had one blow out similar to the HR fest of before with 2 players going downtown twice, but the linedrives were great and I noticed more weak hits on bad contact, which is good. The second game was more realistic, I won by one run by smashing a high changeup for a 3-run to go up 4-3 after giving up 1 run in each of the first 3 innings. I had a nice double right in the gap, and the ball isn't jumping out the stadium like before so I'm on the right track.

Ball size back to 2.35 - I'm not sure if this has anything to do with other factors other than how often players make contact at the plate, thats why I lowered it before.

Warm Contact Mod from .18 to .10, it was higher than Hot Contact Mod which is .15

Inside Power is now 2.1

Sweetspot power is now 2.35

Outside Power is now 1.7

EDIT - I edited the Bloop fields by decreasing the bloopmax by 0.5 and increased the bloop min by the same amount. I also did the same to the min/max linedrive speeds. I saw a nice amount of linedrives dropping in front of the fielders. I still got a two homer game with J.D. Drew but it is fair because I was all over the first pitch I saw which was an inside fastball that I hit 467 in to RF bleachers. I also had some real nice hits that dropped and hit the wall with less power players. I may try what you said, I'll decrease all the values even more, and then up the power slider and see if that helps.

For those who are looking for good results by messing with the datafile. My input on this is that you play at least 10 games with the changes and not just play a game or two.

Rationale behind this:

With ten games, you get to go through your pitching rotation twice. Thus the chances of fluke games are diminished. Just my two cents.
