when your in photoshop...use the magic wand and select the area outside of the photo..then hit create new layer via copy, uncheck the layer below it which should be the whole picture, and magic wand the selection again and fill it black..then use the marquee and select the whole layer and and copy it. Then go to create new image 256x256 and make sure you set the image to greyscale..paste the image their and save it as a .bmp when the option pops up save it as 8. your only choices should be 4 or 8 if you did it right.

If you use myk's advice, don't forget to Expand 1 pixel and feather .5-1 pixel! This, if done correctly, will get rid of any possible white lines surrounding the portrait.

thanks for your help, I got the alphas.

Now, how do I get them into MVPEdit? Do I change the name to match the number (eg WilyMo to 1115.bmp and 1115-a.bmp) or what?

And I don't know what to do about deleting fsh?

Thanks again

Cliff
