HuPeRcHiLd
I created a few guys and was wondering how the pitch setups work for batters. It's the section in CAP that asks how you players reacts to Fastballs, Curves, and Sliders. I want these guys to be very good up at the plate when I pitch against them so I have most of these settings (Fast, Curve, Slide) set to low numbers. Is this the right thing to do? Also, do the Hot Cold and Neutral zones change what a player can or can't hit for Homeruns? Do they do anything at all? Thanks

SESbb30
low numbers are good for some, and not for some. Set contact and power to all pitches as high as you can get them. and set ball miss low for all pitches, stike miss low for all pitches. and they should be better. the hot/cold zones do have an effect. if there is a mistake pitch in the red zone you have a better chance of hitting it hard. blue is bad. grey is nuetral, and red is good. Is this the right thing to do? Is this regarding the "Miss", "Take", and "Chase" part? If so, better betters have high numbers for Take and low numbers for Miss and Chase. Also, do the Hot Cold and Neutral zones change what a player can or can't hit for Homeruns? Do they do anything at all? I don't know if anyone has come up with a definitive answer for this, but from what I've found, players seem to swing slower if a pitch is in the cold zone. I have no idea if it affects power, though.
