Roscosuper
Negative will make it harder......it's sounds like you havent figured out how to move the pitch cursor. Go to the option menu and see if pitch cursor is turned on. then you'll have to figure out how to move the cursor on the keyboard. It's got to be the arrow keys on the number pad. there should also be a button for pitchng out of the zone.
Roscosuper
I don't have the 05 manuel around anymore, but in the 04 it says: PITCH LOCATION Number pad 2, 4, 6, 8 (use two keys in combination to target corners) AIM OUTSIDE THE STRIKE ZONE Right SHIFT + Pitch location combination THROW A PITCH (Arrow) down, up, left, right, or umber pad ENTER (hold, release near the end of pitch meter, then press again in green accuracy zone at the beginning of pitch meter)

cybernetic
You can use a gamepad on laptop if u have a serial connection.. it's almost impossible to pitch on the keyboard but I did throw a perfect game once with the keyboard and num pad.. albeit on rookie difficulty
stcardinal
Pitching on the corner is possible on the keyboard, it's just a lot harder. For example if you want to throw a sick sinker, hold down shift and 2 so the cursor will be outside the box. WHen you pitch, stop the meter right before the brown part to get an on the line pitch. 80% of the times it'll be a strike or the batter will swing strike. snepp
If the laptop is good enough to run MVP, it has the capability to use a gamepad.
Applejak
I bought a THRUSTMASTER 2-in-1 Dual Trigger Controller last week from J&R Computer world through Amazon.com for my laptop. Works great. Plugs in through a usb port - and can be used on a PS2.
cybernetic
With a gamepad you can aim where you want to go with the analog stick and you actually aim outside for example to throw a breaking pitch that moves outside but starts inside
