tom-nyy-26
How difficult would it be to switch the D-Rays with the Nationals? In other words, putting the D-Rays in the NL East and the Nationals in the AL East. I think this would be cool as it would create more rivalries (being the Nationals and the Orioles and the D-Rays and the Marlins). I think this could be done as i remember seeing a download which markb had uploaded allowing a AAA team to switch with the Nationals. Could someone do this for me ? I would be extremely happy if someone could :)
D-Unit
i think it is a good idea. but personally i would rather keep them apart myself because interleague rivalries are awesome (yankees-mets for example).
MarlinsMS_35
I guess you could swap the Rays, and the Marlins, I always wondered how they'd do in the AL.
Sac51
It would be better if one of the NL Central teams will go into the AL West, because there are only 4 teams...then every division has got the perfect format of 5 teams apiece.

D-Unit
i think its better that the AL only has 14 teams. because before that the tigers were in the AL East, now they are in the central. moving the brewers back to the AL Central would mean six teams, and that is ridiculous. tom-nyy-26
No, its not a good idea. We'd have interleague everyday. Your point is valid, but too some extent it wouldnt be interleauge everyday. There would still be interleague play, it would just mean the divisions were shifted around a little bit, which would result in some teams that were previously NL teams becoming an AL team.. back to my point....does anyone think they could switch the D-Rays with the Nationals ? tebjr
Would putting 5 teams in each division cause the game to crash?

Hollywood70
It would be better if one of the NL Central teams will go into the AL West, because there are only 4 teams...then every division has got the perfect format of 5 teams apiece. That would make each league have an odd number of teams. Not good. Anyhow, what I've done is moved the Devil Rays to Washington, and the Nationals to Detroit (they play in the old stadium). It's not really MOVING teams, as much as re-naming them.
tom-nyy-26
never. Ok i sounded dumb in that post. All i meant to say is that there would still be rivalries such as Yankees/Mets, Giants/Athletics, Rangers/Astros etc...All i want to do is switch two teams over lol Hollywood70, do you mean you were able to get the Rays into the NL East and Nationals into the ALE ? ataris812
The reason you have to have even number teams in each league is so that during regular play each team can play everyday. If there was an odd number of teams, one team would have to have an off day everyday, and with a series of games, scheduling would be almost impossible without having an interleague series going all the time. SpOrtega
ataris is exactly right. That is why there wont be expansion for awhile either. You have to expan to a lot of teams before you have 3 divisions all even and even teams in each league. Unless you made 4 division leagues, which would eliminate the wildcard. Its pretty complicated. I also swapped the schedules so Washington will play Tampa Bay's schedule, and Tampa Bay will play Washington's schedule. Well, all divisions having the same number of teams obviously is not MLB's priority. What they could do is put an expansion team in the AL West, and then another AL expansion team anywhere. That would put both leagues at 16 teams, with each league having two 5 team-divisions and one 6-team division.
scotty2hotty
I think Major League Baseball would get rid of two teams before they expand the league. I wouldn't mind seeing Tampa and Florida given the boot, Detroit shifted back to the AL East, Milwaukee back to the AL Central. ALW - Anaheim, Oakland, Seattle, Texas ALC - Chicago, Cleveland, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Minnesota ALE - Baltimore, Boston, Detroit, New York, Toronto ALW - Arizona, Colorado, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco ALC - Chicago, Cincinnati, Houston, Pittsburgh, St. Louis ALE - Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia, Washington What do you think? D-Unit
What happens to the NL? you kinda eliminated the national league. putting detroit back in the east is stupid because detroit is located in michigan and never should have been in the east in the first place.
