50buck
Hey i been plaing mvp 2005 for about 1 1/2 years and now playing the 2006 beta. Ican't seem to draw any walks. the pitcher usually throws a lot of strikes and even on a 3-0 count they come back to throw 3-2 and i put the ball in play. is there a slider or way to get more walks. I play all-star and put the cpu ball rate -50. i average like .5 walk a game....
fred13
i think its supposed to be +50, not sure though
snepp
Wow, yeah. -50 will definately not help you draw any walks.
Friedman
I play on Pro, have the CPU Ball Rate to +10, and draw 2 or 3 walks per game. My problem is that I am currently at the all-star break in my dynasty, and only have been hit by a pitch twice.
snepp
Lowering the CPU pitch control will lead to quite a few more HBP. You'll have to lower the ball rate to compensate a bit though, otherwise you'll end up walking too much.

aaronuconn
I think I have CPU Control at +10. Maybe thats why I don't get hit.
snepp
On all-star I've got cpu control at -20 something.

stcardinal
try not to swing at every single pitch, then you'll get some walk for sure! Haha ya. I was playing today and realized I wasn't getting any walks at all. So I just sat there and didn't swing. Sure enough on my first try, I got my very first walk. pdub
I upped my difficulty to MVP for the first time a few weeks ago. I should have been there a year ago. Anyways, the first thing I noticed is the cpu will pitch around you and as long as your not swing happy, you will draw walks. On MVP, getting K's and walking the cpu is a whole different matter, I can't seem to do it like I did on All-Star.
D-Unit
yeah i played all-star for a while but i moved up to MVP almost a year ago and i draw maybe five walks a game.
