Roy31
So, I officially get it... Got approx 9 K's per game if I combine my starter with the relievers! That's good for the moment! Got a question... The stamina of my relievers always get back to 100% after each game... So if I use the same guy in three consecutive game, no problem, is stamina is full everytime... Is there a way to get the bullpen tired for few days if they don't have a day off? Is it in the sliders? Thanks a lot guys and thanks again for your help with the K's! Most relievers are good for 2 innings. If you run a reliever for more than 2 innings he might be a little tired the next day but not much. You give the reliever just 1 inning of work he will be fine the next day.
pdub
There are several field in the datafile that can give you more strikeouts. In the <cpubatter> line, #3 is PitchPathErr or pitch path error which defines how much the cpu makes an error on predicting the pitches path. Increasing it produces more swings and misses, and possibly worse contact. #4 is FBPitchPathErr or FASTBALL pitch path error. Increasing it does the same thing as PitchPathErr, but only for the fastball and maybe the changeup.
iansimcox
On an 0-2 count, there is no chance pitch #3 is anywhere close. You can't do that all the time, else the 0-2 pitch has no real use other than making the count 1-2.. I like to use change-ups and curves off the plate on 0-2, but occasionally i'll try and blow a fastball by the batter inside to keep it mixed up. Nothing more satisfying than a 3 pitch K. Cincinnati
And how can I open the datafile, it's like chinese character when I opend it with the wordpad... Thanks
pdub
You gotta learn chinese. Here are some chinese translators- Tool that decompresses the datafile.txt so you can edit it in wordpad/notepad(I suggest wordpad, and keep "word wrap" off) and recompresses it back into the datafile.txt - http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Down...=details&id=164 Datafile editing tutorial - http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Down...=details&id=161 MacDaddy's spreadsheet of the datafile - http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Down...details&id=2935
