Hitting in general tips

Hitting in general tips. Does it matter if you use the analog stick? Will you still get hits just pressing swing without directing the analog?

Usually i put my stick to pull upright for righties and vice versa for lefties...but with 2 strikes i always put the stick opposite to get opposite hits. But recently on all-star on 0 contact and 0 power... all i get is like 5 runs mostly on hrs and walks....no singles or doubles ect.

is there a way to get more normal hits. for ex. i get like 7 hits and 5 runs but my pitching alll ways suck and i keep the ball down but still get blasted when cpu always finds a way to hit. for ex. i put a slider lowoutside corner on a rightie and he pulls it for a homerun...how do u do thatt?

also do anyone you guys wait to see what the pitch is before deciding which way you are goign to point your analog stick

I usually push the stick in the direction that the pitch will be located in the strike zone. I usually never swing at low pitches unless the situation calls for a ground ball.

Take borderline pitches until you have 1 or 2 strikes on you. Swing defensively with 2 strikes trying to foul off pitches.

Pushing the stick right or left seems to work best for base hits, but with a strong hitter turn on inside pitches while holding up for towering home runs.

Works like a charm for me.

Basic hitting, go with the pitch.

The thing I absolutely love about MVP is that you can actually DO that. It's nice knowing that you can take a pitch on the outside corner if you're a lefthanded batter and hit it to left using the analog stick.

ne thing I noticed, is that if you have a hitter with low rating numbers (i.e. power-56 contact 62) dont use the analog stick at all, you'll get singels and doubles like crazy.
