Camera/Datafile help ...

Hey guys,

Its snate from the old high heat days. I was someone could help me with this request.

I want a datafile that will give me a blimpstyle camera angle to take screenshots I could use with DMB.

edm did something similar for ootp. See below:

For DMB, I need to pull back a little to make the infield smaller. I haven't been able to get in touch with edm to get his datafile either.

Here is a sample ballpark below:

Can anyone help me out with getting a proper camera for this purpose?

Thanks in advance.

I think we would just need to pull back edm's camera a little and also make it a little more top down. If we can get edm's datafile it would be a good start.

I'll post the datafile I used as soon as I can find it :D

Changing the angle isnt difficult, but its a trial and error process. The hardest part is loading the game after every edit to see what happens. I'll take a look at the datafile to see if I can come up with the view youre looking for...

Snate. is this closer to what you're looking for?

bankone.jpg

the data file for this view is here

the datafile for the camera view in your first post is here

It's been a while since I messed with them, but these are the values you need to edit in the datafile, under "battingview4".

There are four different battingview4

15 -300

16 280

17 -300

53 95.00

54 0

Thanks Edm.

That new angle is better. I would like to tinker and move the camera a little closer to home, lower and tilt the angle down a little.

I have some questions:

1) How do I edit the datafile? When I open it I get a bunch of jibberish.

2) How did you get the screenshots without any overlays on it? Replay? Is batting view 4 best to edit?

3) Are these the right variables?

15 -300 (x-axis)

16 280 (y-axis - height)

17 -300 (z-axis)

53 95.00 (tilt)

54 0 (pan?)

4) Is there a FOV or ZOOM variable?

Thanks for your help.

I use eazip for editing the datafile. I uploaded it HERE. Unzip all three files into the same directory along with the datafile and run the uncompress bat. After editing the datafile run the compress bat.

I'm not positive about the variables. maybe someone else can answer this? but here is a tutorial that helped me when I started messng with the camera's. It was created for mvp2004, but the settings are similar to what mvp05 uses Tutorial.zip
