MarkB
You need to extract the bitmap from the .fsh using NFSHTool. Once that's done, edit the bitmap as normal, then run index.fsh to repack the .fsh file and re-import it to models.big. Don't forget to backup. :)

MarkB
All you really need is the NFSHTool program (it should be in the files section) and something to edit the bitmap with, such as Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop or, if you're desperate or just like using it sometimes, MS Paint. When you have NFSHTool, right-click on the .fsh file and open it with the NFSHTool.exe file (or just drag the .fsh file onto the .exe) and it will create a folder with the same name as the .fsh file. Inside that folder will be the bitmap you need to edit. Do whatever you want to the image, then run the index.fsh file which will also be inside the folder and that will repack your updated image into the .fsh file. After that, just repack the .fsh file into models.big and you're done.
