LudeBoy
I have tried to install MVP on my pc and on disc 2 its stops at 63% every time. Any suggestions before trying to find another game to buy? Disc 2 is slightly scratched.
MarkB
Disc 2 is mostly stadiums, so ignore and take a note of the files that can't be copied, then download the updated ones from the download section.
big shmooz
MarkB... that advice won't work, because the game does not write itself to the registry till the end of the process. So even if you knew which files to install manually, you would still have to know what to put into the registry. The second issue is, if the game stops installing, the only option you are left with is to cancel the installation. If you do that, ALL the files get erased & it is as if you never did the install in the first place.

Wouldn't the installer attempt to continue with the next file when the user chooses to ignore the fact that that file can't be copied? Thus, when the installer gets to the end of installing the stadiums (even though some have been ignored), it will still attempt to write the pertinent data to the registry? Given that it's only a slight scratch, I'd imagine it wouldn't cause problems with too many files.
biker_jim_uk
I don't remeber there being a retrycontinueignore type option, but I installed it over a year ago ;)
PolishJoe
Do you have any CD Ripping software on your computer? If possible, you could rip and image file of CD 2 and then mount a Virtual Drive. I've had an issue like this once before with another game and for whatever reason, the game would get stuck at a certain point. I assumed it couldn't read from the disc and what not so I tried making an image file of the disc - assuming it too would probably fail. For whatever reason, it didn't fail and I just installed from a Virtual Drive. :?

It only gives you the option to cancel the installation. It's an all or nothing deal.
LudeBoy
I tried to reinstall, I have been having problems with my pc. Everytime I played MVP i would get a "Microsoft Error" the one that says send or don't send. I reformated my entire pc thinking I would get rid of the problem but, nope its still occurs even when im browsing the net. I downloaded a version of the game but it does not have any icon to install, only BIN and CUE files. I guess im thinking of searching to buy another game but they are hard to find. Any suggestions on fixing my pc? I know its a lot to ask considering I didnt give much information on it. I occasionall get the blue screen o death now which is frustrating. Thanks guys. tywiggins
You can either use the bin and cue files to burn a cd, or you can mount them with a CD emulator.
