Baitshop
Has anyone created an animation of the Liberty Bell ringing at Citizens Bank Park after a HR like in real life? Shea Stadium has the "big apple" that pops up in the game. Just wondering if we will ever see the LIberty Bell ring. Thanks
Thome25
Dont think its possible. I was so disappointed that they left that out of this game.
TheMadcap
That would be awesome but as Thome said, I don't think it can be done.
MarlinsMY
Theoretically, it could be done. Realisitically, it is much harder. When I was developing my version of Hadlock field, I was able to add the tower of Portland Head Light that pops up after a home run. You can see my findings here. The key is changing the ganim.csv file in the stadium .big file, and replacing CBP's datafile with the one from Shea. However, as I note in my Hadlock notes, the camera angles and other features move to their Shea position. Maybe somebody knows how to extract the camera info from Shea, so everything else doesn't have to move, but I know I haven't been able to do it. (I also couldn't move the positioning of the "apple" camera, even though the ganim.csv moves the apple/train/Bernie.) Unfortunately I don't have the time to work on this, but hopefully this information is a start so somebody else can try it.

Cool but taking that the Apple in nY goes up and you said that your lighthouse goes up right. Doesnt that work out just right, taking that the bell in CBP rocks side too side and lights up. Wouldnt that be more difficult too accomplish?
MarlinsMY
Moving side to side would be possible, but I don't know if rotating side to side is.
NYM
Hey MarlinsMY, I got a question. You know in the CAS, how there is that moving text in left field that says "Ea Sports". Would it be possible to add more of that moving text to different parts of a stadium?
MarlinsMY
NYM06, I believe you can, but you'd need to know the part names of the stadium pieces. Animation information like that is stored in the tanim.csv file. In Yankee stadium's file, for example, the first two listings "Object81" and "Object106" are certainly the "EA SPORTS" scoreboards: they are set to always scroll (Scrolling=1, Event Name=ALWAYS, U Frames=1, Type=l). Any part can technically be animated in this way, but again, you need the formal name of the part (which OEdit doesn't show). Perhaps looking at the o files in a hex editor would show the geometry names.
