Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I just installed the mlb on fox overlay for mvp and it all worked fine except one problem...the pitching meter is a tiny bit screwed...all it is is the bar with a black background...no indicator or color zones...i am sure i am probably just missing a tiny file or something...wold installing the 06 overlay fix this...i do not know what file the pitching meter is so maybe someone can shed some light...ill get a SS tomorrow for you guys.

you probably forgot to install the file into the shapes folder that's why it's messed up just download it again (or if you still have all the files then reinstall it and follow the readme file)

there was only three files and i put them all in the respective folders...the 2 that go in frontend and the other in the igshapes folder...everything else except the pitching meter shows up fine

Okay... I think I just figured it out.

I did a fresh install of MVP 08, but this time I used the full disc image of CD2 (I didn't feel like digging around in the basement for the hard copy.) Last time I used the mini-image since I thought they'd serve the same purpose. However, MVP 08 installer doesn't just use CD2 to verify that you have the game, it actually pulls data from it.

So my recommendation is to re-install '08 using the CDs or your full backup images.

Ahhh, that makes perfect sense. Thanks for this information. I know it'll help a lot of people.

Because it's not just the overlay, that's why. It has everything to do with what cameras (datafile) you're using.

Actually, I think we're talking about two very different issues here.

This is only for the pitch meter placement NOT the black box issue. The black box issue is caused from using a CD image as explained by okayperson a few posts up.
