MVPedit Question

Alright,

I went to Glass4.com/mvpedit & I downloaded mvpedit full version

because I had never downloaded it before. As the faq said I would,

I was missing the MSCOMCTL.OCX file. I went and downloaded it

& placed it in the correct file. Then mvpedit worked. Great!!!

Then I downloaded 1326_UR 6.5 Plus edition, A.K.A - Ultimate

Rosters 6.5 Plus Edition. I used a free agent "Jeremy Giambi"

& just changed his name, age, and stats, but not his photo. I

opened MVP Baseball 2005 & my new character was there with

all the stats, but when I try to play a game in any mode it shuts

down and closes to the desktop.

What am I doing wrong here? I didn't even change the photo!

Can someone help me out?

Well, it worked! Sort of! Now when I play the game, it thinks I am Brandon Larson. Is that maybe because I used his photo for my character? I am going to have to assume this is so. Everytime I tried to use my own photo though it would load the Alpha missing character photo rather then my own. Is this because I am not using a photo with a high enough resolution?

thanks for the help!!!

Well I redone everything & the game doesn't call me Brandon Larson anymore. It also doesn't recognize the last name though like it would if I just created a character from the create a player screen. Is there a reason for this?

Also it still won't recognize my photo and it uses the default "missing character" portrait. Any idea's anyone?

No I don't, I'm not sure how to do that either. All I did was . . .

1. In MVP edit I erased Chad Zerbe to make room for a new free agent.

2. Then I clicked on the create button and made a character with my name from scratch.

3. I picked my audio/photo # as 0001.

4. Then I clicked on the "No Picture Found" window & when the update photo box appeared I went into new alpha button and went to the 001 folder and placed the generic alpha in the 0000-a.bmp spot.

5. Then I placed "my photo" in the same folder only in the 0000.bmp spot.

Is this the wrong way to do it? I looked at how the other players headshots were like that and assumed that was the way. If I'm wrong then I guess that's what I get for assuming.

All the help is greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks!!!

What is the size of your photo?

Btw... the reason your game crashed when you loaded up the 6.5 plus rosters is, because as the readme says, you need to also have the models.big downloaded & installed. (currently the models.big is not available that is made for 6.5 rosters)

o.k., I tried changing my photo to 128x128 and that still didn't work. When I load the game it still shows the default "missing character" photo.

Everything else like, the prior season stats, and character attributes, and all that are just fine.

I'm thinking I could try loading the picture in 256x256 but really I think it's the poor picture quality.

Any thoughts . . . ?

UPDATE::

LOL!!! I changed my pic to 256x256 and also as tebjr up above suggested I changed my id in mvpedit to 0. Well it worked! My picture showed up and was in the game under the rosters and when I went to play a game it didn't crash. The picture showed up under my statistics and when my player came up to bat. I was on cloud 9 thinking everything was finally a go until Edwin Encarnacion came up to bat and also had my photo. Then i realized by looking through the rosters that every "missing photo" character in the game which includes nearly everyone in the minor leauges all have my photo. LOL

I'm struggleN' here with this one issue...

I'll keep playing with it, and any suggestions would again be great!
