xman
I'm trying my hand at uniform modding, but I'm a little frusterated. I can easily obtain the home script for the jersey such as this: But I can't find the away script (In this case, "Vermont"). Is there some secret webpage out there that has this stuff I can't find or do you need to freelance it yourself and if so how?
TROR
have you tried sportslogos.net?
xman
Thanks for the link, but there doesn't appear to be any better a selection there than Logoserver.com or logoshak.com
biker_jim_uk
nope, it's virtually imposible to find road MiLB logos
xman
So how do the modders get their material? Do you just fudge it as best you can with a similar font or is there a more advanced method?
RAM
try cropping the logo from a photo of a road jersey then clean it up and resize etc. that's what i had to do on a lot of the MILB jerseys i did. be warned it can take a very long time. i had hoped to complete all the teams but, i was forced to move 4 times in the past 12 months including my final cross country move so, i was FORCED to throw in the towel. now there's just no time... good luck. xman
Hey, that actually worked pretty well! Here is what I got so far:
RAM
looks good. just make sure that the jersey you are using is authentic. sometimes the jerseys in the fan shops aren't auctual game jerseys. so normally i would try to find a few shots online of the team in action so i could compare and see if it was authentic or not. depending on the team, sometimes you can find a really good logo to crop, sometimes not- that's when it'll take forever. make sure you rotate the image correctly and make SURE you erase any left over pixels from the original image background because they will stick out really bad in the game like a sore thumb.
