danquiz333
One of the things lacking in MVP '05 is the ability to compare active (and retired) stat leaders. When you're playing in dynasty it's exciting to see your player pass milestones (500 HR, 3000 hits, 300 W, etc.) and it would be great to see your players move up the all-time leader list. A good model of what this could look like is the CNNSi "Active Career Stat Leader" board on http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/stats/ Ideally, in MVP you could compare not only active but retired players as well so you can see your players pass Mays, Ruth, etc. I'm a "newbie" and not skilled at modding myself. Does such a mod exist or is this very easy to do? Any help would be appreciated.
TheMadcap
This would be a neat idea but it would have to be an external mod as It wouldn't be possible in-game.

BigDom
for some reason MVPsavreader never works for me, I've done all I think I can do, and nothing
Kelvarr
I would fully support this, and have missed this feature since All-Star Baseball 2004 (last game I played that had it). I really loved watching guys climb up the ladder. I would be willing to help if any lists needed to be created/compiled, but I don't know jack about programming, so making something from scratch would be impossible for me. maybe built into the next version for MVPsavreader That would be a perfect place for it. danquiz333
Great ideas. I wish I knew something about programming. The list of stats could be pretty simple. Maybe only include the top 50 or top 100 players in the truly major categories such as all-time HR, H, RBI, W, K, etc. Perhaps someone who knew something about programming could simply cut and paste the stats data from MLB.com. Another fun twist could be to add a Hall of Fame threshold in the programming, something else that is lacking in MVP 05. For example, a player that ends up in the top 20 all-time HR list is automatically HOF or a player that is in the top 30 of the major offense categories, 300 W equals HOF, etc.
D-Unit
i think of these milestones as some automatic HOF milestones: 300 wins 500 homers 3000 hits or maybe good season numbers and incredible postseason numbers.
snepp
Won't be long and the 500 homer mark will just be another number.
D-Unit
good point but for now i will go with that.
MadHatter
Agreed, this would be a great addition for Dynasty guys. In teh past I started doing this by hand but gave up because it became too tedious. Also, I have never been able to get MVPsavreader to work for me either... but I thought it was only me.
danquiz333
Now all we need is someone with the time and expertise to make it happen. I've seen some pretty unbelievable mods on this page. I bet it would be possible.
