Changing of Coaches in Dynasty Mode

Is there a way for me to swap managers between two teams.

For example, I want to have Bobby Cox managing the Red Sox and Terry Francona managing the Braves.

I am not talking about the Owner mode option where you can actually draft your own manger.

If I were playing a dynasty mode game or even an exhibition game I want to be able to see the change.

Can I maybe change certain files in the MVP baseball 05 directory to have this happen or is this not possible.

Thank you very much for the reply

You can edit org.dat in the c:Program FilesEA SportsMVP Baseball 2005datadatabase folder

You can edit this file using notepad, wordpad, or any other text editor.

What you need to do is change what's after the ",12 " for the teams that you want to change the managers.

So if you want to trade Boston's and Atlanta's managers, just exchange the values that are after ",12 " for the two teams in the org.dat file.

You may have to reset rosters to get the changes to work in exhibition games.

The changes should show up if you start a new dynasty.

If you want to change a dynasty in progress, you will need my .dat importer and exporter programs. (In Mod Previews forum)

For some reason the all the managers were switched around when I installed the new Ultimate Rosters. Can someone please explain to me how to change the managers in mid dynasty? I guess I need an explanation of the previous post Also, I'd love to put Tommy Lasorda into my current Dynasty with the Dodgers.

You would have to use the importer/exporter program to edit the org.dat file if you are in the middle of your dynasty. I don't its in the download section as Tywiggins has a thread dedicated to just that and I believe the download is found in the very first post.

As far as adding Tommy Lasorda, I believe that can be done using MVPEdit. Run the importer/exporter program to get your .dat files for your current dynasty. Goto MVPEdit and import those .dat files and I believe you should be able to change the name of the manager in one of the tabs. Sorry, I am not by my desktop right now, so I can't tell you what to click in detail, but its not something that you would have to spend a whole lot of time on. Anyway, once the change has been made, you need to export the .dat files from MVPEdit into the importer/exporter folder and then eventually run the importer to get it back into your game. Just to be on the safe side, backup everything that you are going to be modifying - in other words just make a copy of your dynasty and also, close out the game when making changes in MVPEdit. Hope this helps you out somewhat. Take care.

ok, I'm trying to add Torre as the manager of my Dodgers dynasty. I've exported my dynasty files. Now I'm trying to use MVPedit and it can't find my exported .dat files. What shall I do?

I changed the manager in MVPMods using the program and when I play dynasty again I still have Joe Torre managing the Yanks.
