SwinginSoriano
did you paste the database folder over the old one?
big shmooz
ohboy... one note. If all you installed is 6.5 plus rosters (& not the models.big) your game WILL crash when you end up installing it correctly. The thing is, if nothing changed it means you did not install it correctly. Post the step by step of what you did & hopefully somebody will be able to help you as to why you did not install it properly.
sfgiantsflgators
you might have selected only the data folder - at least it's what i do most of the time when i'm installing the new roster updates. go back and make sure that when you export the rosters, you are selecting the "database" folder within the data folder (all this assuming you are using mvpedit)
ohboy
i did not paste. i used winrar on the model.big files. i put them in the 2005/data folder and extracted them, and it overwrote them. Then i put the dat. files in the data/database folder and they overwrote also. i didnt do anything else that i know of. One point of interest.i copy from this p.c. and burn to cd-rw, Then i put it on my gaming p.c.
big shmooz
I am not sure what you mean by models.big files. There is only one file called "models.big". You say you put the dat files in the database folder (which is the correct thing to do). Let me ask you, please post the date of the .dat files in your database folder. If you did it correctly, it should be "may 13th". (except for the manager.dat which should be March 8th)
ohboy
Sorry, mbe files. the only other thing that was in the UR was the dat file.i didnt see anything else. i wonder if i'm losing some files while transfering to the other p.c.Like burning to the rw. Would that make sense?

big shmooz
sorry, just had to finish that game, shmooze, 12-14-2005 There's your answer. You did not install the rosters. If you used the .mbe, what you should have done is, in MVP Edit, (after you load up the rosters in MVPEDit) you need to click on "export" & then double click the database folder (to where you see that folder being the last folder showing on the bottom) & then click ok. (it will ask you if it's ok to overwrite, say yes) Let the program finish. Then go back to the database folder & if you see today's date there, you know you exported the roster correctly.
