AnthonyBurke
Is there any mods or programs which keep your rosters from changing so dramatically between the end of a dynasty season and spring training? My main beef with playing dynasty has always been that when I restart a season and go to spring training, the game automatically puts what it considers to be the "best players for the position" in those positions. Thus, I end up having to do all kinds of call ups and send downs and spend countless amounts of time getting my rosters back the way I wan them. A program that freezes the players in their positions between seasons would be pricless to me if it exsists. Thanks!!!
MancrushOnNomar
The game does this on purpose. In Spring Training you're supposed to use minor leaguers to get them experience. It's through their progress in ST that they get better between seasons. If you leave your team as your MLB club all ST your minor leaguers won't get any better. It's a good idea to mix in some prospects with veterans in ST games.
slartibartfast
If your teams are still messed up after ST, you can mess around with the "Positional Rankings" in the roster menu. You can rank who you want playing at each position, and when the CPU optimizes rosters, it checks your rankings first. (This is regardless of a player's skill level.) AnthonyBurke
Yeah, I don't buy that theory about them not getting better, because I am a stats freak and I watch all my minor leagers from year to year through the dynasty mode and I am constantly calling up and sending down guys to perfect my teams in their respective divisions. Plus at the end of, or begining of every year, (however you look at it) after spring training it shows all players from A to MLB advance or falling stats before you continue into the next season. AnthonyBurke
I tried setting my positional rankings up for all players and it worked somewhat, but you can't assign pitchers positional ranking and it still moves them around alot.
cybernetic
Yeah that's why I make up the rosters before spring training and write it down/capture it so that after spring training I re-align them
