maddux31
Hey guys, this is sort of a re-hashed topic. But a guy recently posted (actually bumped it a couple times since he got no answers) that he wanted someone to make a complete WBC roster pack. Now myself I see no comparison with console over PC for games, yes there are some, but for this game definitely, why not just purchase it for the PC? The requirements are not that high. Theres also a good chance if he's posting on here he would have a PC. I could not even imagine having only a console for this game? You miss out on the whole idea of the MVPmods website. PLEASE note that I AM NOT bashing console players, I just think they would feel much more rewarded getting it for the PC. Most people have a halfway decent PC in their home now anyways, if not they are around almost the price as 360's. This was just a very late night ramble. BTW I bought one of my closest friends a MVP05 for his Xbox, we play it alot at his place, but it's just not the same.
snepp
What does this have to do with the 06 mod?
Darkslide820
I'm so used to getting into the game after about a minute of loading up. Halo on XBox vs. Halo on PC: XB- playing in a few minutes; PC- wait for computer to start up, then wait for antivirus stuff to load up, then wait for game to load up. Plus, after playing Halo on XBox and then jumping to PC, I notice a significant lag in the latter; is there a similar delayed response to button presses in MVP 2005 for PC? And can you even do multiplayer on PC? My friend and I smack talk all the time when we play together. If I switch to the PC version just to get some portraits in the game I don't want to lose that. The game loads about 10x faster on my computer than on Xbox. Then again, I have a pretty decent computer.
fred13
And can you even do multiplayer on PC? My friend and I smack talk all the time when we play together. If I switch to the PC version just to get some portraits in the game I don't want to lose that. I have 6 USB ports on my computer and three game controllers. That means 3 can play with controllers and one with the keyboard plus I still have room for more.
maddux31
Really when you think about it. PC's started the whole multiplayer craze. So yes you can play multiplayer with no problem.
Darkslide820
Well, my only experience with PC games is Black & White and Halo. And you couldn't play same-PC multiplayer on either; Halo required internet. So I'm just asking about it before I get MVP PC. Aside from that, the cost of buying the game again, and any potential lag, I'm very excited about getting this game for PC. I like the idea of portraits, custom jerseys and stadiums (anyone make Ebbets Field?), and cyberfaces. I would have rather been able to do all this on XBox, but since I understand you have to mod it first, which would probably cost more than the PC game, I guess I'll have to get the PC version. BTW, when I finally finish my All-Time Teams roster, am I going to be able to play other users with them? Or do all MVP PC users have to use the same files to play? Darkslide820
http://www.nba-live.com/eagraph/index.php Is this the page where you download EAGraph from to make portraits and cyberfaces? Is 1.04.b the one everyone uses?
Darkslide820
Also, do you need a lot of hard drive space to play the game and enjoy mods? If I wanted to play MVP 61, for example, I put in the game CD and then what? Do I make an icon for the mod on the desktop and double click on it when the disc is in the PC? Thanks.
