redsox
Hey all, This is the first time I am posting my dynasty and I decided to a play with the Red Sox and post the results here. Some people tend to belive that the 04 victory was a fluke since the Sox were swept in 05. I kind of wanted to bring back the Boston Glory Days when the Red Sox won 3 world series championships in the 'teens. They were about the best team in the American league then. Hope all goes well and I can produce some excitement for you guys. Have fun.

Totte
I was actually thinking about Luis Soto put on the prospects list. I am definately going to be keeping an eye on the prospects. Don't forget Jed Lowrie. He's our best infield prospect behind Dustin Pedroia :)

redsox
What about Alvarez and Zink? I do have Abe in mind but I didn't know Zink was a top prospect. soxprospects.com do not even give him a C grade.
mike_arrrr
I think David Murphy should probably be making a big league start by next season. He's a guy you should watch for sure. I've already tried him out in my dynasty when I lost Nixon in right for 60 days.
redsox
Curt Schilling dominant in season opener. Schilling pitched 7 strong innnings and gave up only one earned run in the bottom of the 7th. Papelbon came in the 9th for his first save of his career. Papi got the offense going with a 2-run home run in first. Kevin Millwood got into trouble early as he had to throw 52 pitches to get out of the first 2 innings. Millwood settled in and pitched well after the second inning but the Rangers offense did not produce the necessary runs. [1] Papi got it going with a two run home run in the top of the first. [2] Schilling was spectacular for 7 innings. redsox
Barajas homerun sinks the Red Sox as they suffer their first loss Adam Eaton was sensational as he pitched 6 and 1/3 inning and had 9 strikeouts. Wakefield pitched equally well but a key error proved costly as Barajas blasts a 3 run home run in the 7th. [1] Nixon goes hard to second to break up a double play [2] Loretta about to make a great snare [3] Rangers execute the hit and run to perfection [4] Barajas goes deep against Wakefield

Mike Lowell went 4 for 6 with 2 RBIs and a walk in the game while Youk goes 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs and a walk. Mark Teixeira produced all the offense for the Rangers as he drove in all four runs and hit his first home run of the season. redsox
Nice win opening day. Surprized you didnt bring Foulke in in the 8th. I wanted to have Timlin set up for Papelbon. I am actually going to be using Foulke for mid-relief or long-relief.

redsox
that was a phenomenal grab by nixon in game 3 I know. I actually made the catch all by myself. No CPU assist. Controllers are really helpful in making these wall climbing catches. One thing I did see though is that the comptuer and myself are able to climb the green monster and rob the batter off of a hit. Isn't that insane? Also, I will be posting the results of the next series tonight. Hope you guys are enjoying it.

redsox
Exhausted Red Sox lose after being involved in back to back extra inning thrillers. Papelbon blows his first save of the season as the Orioles come back in the 9th to tie the game up at 4. Orioles were hitting hard as they racked up 16 hits compared to Boston's 9 hits. Tejada had a two run double in the bottom of the third. Youk and Ramirez had 3 hits each to lead the Red Sox in hits for this game. [1] Tejada has a two run double off of David Wells. [2] Loretta scores the first run for the Red Sox thanks to a sac fly from Trot Nixon. [3] This error cost the Orioles a run as the Red Sox tied it up at 2. redsox
Bats errupt to support Clement's complete game shutout! Red Sox came back after a tough loss in the previous game to establish its dominance with the bat. Crisp got it going with a grand slam home run while Big Papi blasted 3 home runs. Clement was spectacular in his first big league start as he went the distance while striking out 8. There were no positives for the Orioles as they scattered 5 hits here and there. The rubber game of the 3 game series will be played tomorrow. [1] Coco Crisp blasts a grand slam off of Bruce Chen in the top of the second. [2] Papi hits one of his 3 home runs against the Orioles. [3] Big blowout a huge cause for celebration for the Red Sox
