Do You still Play this Game?

I think I just got tired of this game about a month ago.

I got a new video card, and I'm having install problems, but I'm ready to move on to Splinter Cell PT, MOH:PA, BF2, FEAR, and HL2.

I just hope there is a forum out there for one of these games that is as good as this place.

I think it is time for me to move on. Just wondering who out there feels the same.

I am finding it is starting to get a little boring...but I am hoping with the final MVP 06 Mod is out, it will bring some new life to the game.

I find myself playing alot of Call Of Duty 2, and I just recently installed GTA:SA for some mindless violence.

UncleMo - Sorry to see you considering leaving but before you go if you are interested in selling your copy of MVP Baseball 2005 for the PC I would be interested in it !!!

Hopefully - I will receive a brutal answer to this one which would mean I will be seeing you around here for awhile !

Take Care,

Don

Nah, I couldn't have started a thread like this last year....could I?

You're making me question myself now.

I just joined last year when the game came out though.

I still play MVP. What would life be without baseball?? Of course, I throw in the occasional FPS (F.E.A.R., Far Cry, HL2).

I'd pay Gordon Freeman to take out the Mariners. :D

it was getting old for me too, then tywiggins had to release his damn Box Score Extractor.

I'm now 49 games into a dynasty, and I think this will be first time I'll finish a season without siming it out.

so thanks to tywiggins I'm having a some fun with the game again

if he comes out with a 40 man roster mod, that would really be ridiculous.

PM me your address, I have an unopened copy of the game.

I pre-ordered the game from the EA-Store last year and then went out to Best Buy and picked it up before the EA-Store shiped my copy out because I could not wait

When (or if) I get the PC version of MVP baseball I can't wait to try out some of these cool mods. It will bring game back to life for me. Then Ill actually be able to post a dynasty cause of wiggins "damn Box Score Extractor". Im around 60 games into the 2nd year in my dynasty, which I have had for a bout 3 or so months. GO TRIBE GO!!!

I just noticed my post count was "666", so I'll post again. Im trying to get MVP baseball 2005 off ebay, but the prices are wicked high. Almost too much for me. Also Im trying to the "USB for PC double dual shock controller". If I get all this, I'll be a happy man, and I'll start playing MVP 2005 a ton more than I already do.

I'm still playing the game myself. Of course I throw in some Madden, FIFA, NHL Hockey and Bowl Bound College Football every once in a while to spice things up a bit.

I'm still making my All-Time teams even though it's slow going at time. Finding cybershots for some of these players can be a real chore.

I usually get bored of it a little during the off-season, but so many awesome mods keep coming out, I have to restart dynasties.... so I've never gone through even one full season (without simming). =(

But with the 2006 schedule file, Tywiggins' Schedule Updater and Box Score Extractor (and .dat ex/importer too), MVPSavReader and every other mod/tool that make you be able to make this game a million times better than it ever could have been out of the box -- all this adds up to a new experience every time, so I'll keep coming back all year long. Hell, these mods make me want to *play* every game (A, AA, AAA & MLB) for a whole season so I'll still be playing it come next season. heh

Besides that, a little HL2 and Oblivion action also pass the time.

Well I went out and bought MLB 2K6 for the PS2 a day after it came out.....and it was horrible. Like you randomly got hits, there wasn't anything that made you get them, you just random hit HR's too. I realized I loved MVP way more, so I came back and started a public dynasty and I am loving it.

I'll always love this game! The constant updates, mods, etc. make this game everlasting fun to me. Don't get me wrong, I am not playing constantly, currently I am very busy and have barely any free time, which hugely affects my dynasty, but I love the damn thing

The only trouble I have is team selection. Changed to the DEVIL RAYS now, and really hoping I'll be able to finish with them. Just couldn't get into it with Cleveland :?

I just play Total Classics, and with 120 classic MLB teams to choose from, I expect I'll be playing for quite a while. I've also got the *61 mod installed as well.

This doesn't mean that I don't play other games like the Medal of Honor series or the Call of Duty series (or 2006 FIFA World Cup which I have on order), but I never get tired of MVP2005.

Like some others, I've actually got two copies of the game, just in case anything ever happens to my original copy.

Unclemo I feel ya, I've stopped playing this game for a few months (I played it non stop since the release back in 05). I've moved on to Mlb The show for ps2, some might call it noob or a bad choice, but its much better then mvp baseball in many ways

1) The animations are fluid and make you feel like your watching a real game being played

2) The mechanics are much better and more thought out, everything from the catching of pop up's , to the fielding, to the pitching

3) The pitching is very realistic unlike mvp, in mvp you place your indicator where you want the ball to be pitched, I could win a season in Mvp 2005 on MLB difficulty (hardest obviously) with almost no loss's. Mvp is just to easy of a game its not fun anymore I am so good at it .... mlb the show your pitches don't land where your indicator is, you have to compensate for each pitch/pitcher its a very cool system

I really suggest you try this game out, it's very hard for me to like another baseball game other than mvp, but this one really is a great game. Try it man, I can guarantee you will not want to touch mvp 2005 anymore =/

I play every once in a while. There's just too much to do to play the game for hours and hours a day.

I mix it in with CS:S and such, but CS is much funner to play with your friends. When I'm just home, kinda bored, I play a game of good old MVP.
