Matroska
I play every once in a while. There's just too much to do to play the game for hours and hours a day. I mix it in with CS:S and such, but CS is much funner to play with your friends. When I'm just home, kinda bored, I play a game of good old MVP. CS sucked up like 2 years of my life, I love it to death and im getting back into it but all my friends rock CSS and DOD(fav online game ever cause im a ww2 nut)

69Yanks
It is 1961 and I have to see how the M&M boys will do. So far this June 24th, it is Maris at 22 and the Mick at 21. So just about a game a day, sometimes two as it is June 24 in the 61 Dynasty.
Albie
Uncle Mo, it's funny you should ask this question. I only play two games on PC and the rights to both have been sold to Take 2 Games and neither game is now made for the PC. I'm a 65 yr old geezer, that has waited 34 years for baseball to return to Washington, DC. I'm an old die hard Senators fan, who fell in love with the Nationals on day one. So last year I buy MVP Baseball 2005, so I can enjoy the fantasy version of the Nationals. Then the game is taken over by Take 2 Games, and they don't make a PC version for 2006. So thanks to the many modders who have kept this game alive. My other game is Links 2003 (Golf), which Micro$oft sold to Take 2 Games. Take 2 has put it on the self, with no announced plans to re-issue the game. Like MVP Baseball, golf modders have built the game into a updated 2006 version. The golf modders have designed thousands of new courses, both real and fictional. There is a mod that changes club hitting distances and greens conditions, bringing the game more in line with how the pros hit and the way real courses are set up for current tournaments. There are a number of web sites that host on line tournaments. The old game is 4 years old, but is alive and well because of great modders, just like the guys here working with MVP Baseball. This old geezer still enjoys both games and I plan on playing them for years to come. It's just a shame that these companies don't see a need to make their games for the older PC gamers. Everything is for young console players. I guess that's where the market is. Shame, but that's my rant.
MarkB
I think I'll still be playing when EA release their next PC baseball game. ;)
JoeRudi26
This is why I still play MVP. If your sliders and datafile are optimized for realism, the games are unpredictable and rely on your personal strategy and skill. I won a pitching dual in the bottom of the 9th. There's nothing like it! :)
snepp
Gotta love a game like that. On the flip side, it can also lead to events such as these (it still hurts)....
JoeRudi26
Ouch. That kind of Trifecta hurts to the bone. It happens though, and that's another reason to keep playing. Although they looked like great games, snepp! :)
snepp
Great games yes, but HORRIBLE endings. I would rather have gotten blown out all 3 games than suffer that.
maxbjr
I stopped playing far awhile, about 4 or 5 months. Then I found this site with all the mods and I'm playing again. I've a Mets dynasty but mainly I play TC5 or 61. I also play other games like Ultima Online, Civ 4, etc. Most likely I'll continue to play MVP Baseball in one form or another for awhile. (hopes the TC Negro Leagues project isn't dead. )
jservice
Still play all the time. I love this game and a big part of that is due to the modders on this site. They can keep this game living on.
drkazo
Not as much. I just do roster updates and play a game, and shut it down.
Tidalwav90
i have not played for like three months except for a game here and there. I'm excited to buy Baseball Mogul 2007 and for the new 06 mod. For me its whichever comes first and gets me hooked. I also have gamefly so whenever a game comes if i'm hooked on it i play it like kingdom hearts. The last thing that takes away time from mvp is guitar hero. The game is so amazing and with a program for the computer i can use any song. Mobius
i had mvp 2004 and 2005 on the xbox since 04 came out and i played them on xbox up until last fall or so. then i stopped as i got addicted to call of duty 2, freelancer, and counterstrike:S. once i got MVP for the comp, i discovered all these amazing mods that make the game feel like a new and much more realistic game that results in a very rewarding experience
JoeyMcM93
I don'tplay as much as I used to, but I still play. I am currnetly enjoying Medal of Honor, NBA Live 06, and Star Wars Battlefront 2. SWBF2 is a great gaem; i was hooked instantly. It was a gift and now I cn't stop playing it. MVP is still my favorite game, but I'm in the process of making it perfect. ixcuincle
I still play MVP the most out of all my games, mainly because it's the only sport game someone I know has online , so we often play ip baseball matches. That , plus the owner mode is still wildly addicting (I'm only in year 2 though , there is a long way to go) , and MVP can run well with my laptop in "cooling mode" so it's not likely to overheat. Besides , I've finally figured out how to hit consistently after 1 and 1/4 seasons! After I won the championship in Live 06 with the Hawks I took a rest from 06. Maybe it's because that game tends to overheat my laptop. :(
