xpitdestroyerx, here is the scouting report that I used for Mike Timlin: http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/reds...reports/timlin/

Also, since Johnson is currently in the minors, I will wait to add him to the list, as I am strictly focusing on the major-league rosters at this time. Thank you for the information on DiNardo, it has also been updated.

Myztery, thanks for the information about Wang, it has been updated. Also, here is the Cleveland Indians preview that you requested. I completed the list to the best of my ability.

If you find an inconsistency in these pitch lists, please post it in this thread along with the reason you think it should be changed and include a source if possible (website, scouting report, etc.). Again, these lists are meant to be "beta previews", so if you decide to update your pitchers based on these "betas", please be advised that the information could change. Thanks again everyone for your continued help and support!

Chien Ming Wang has a pretty filthy sinker.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chien-Ming_Wang

I don't trust wikipedia. From what I have heard from Al Leiter and Jim Kaat on the YES network during games, Wang doesn't have a 90-94 mph sinker, but he has a 92-96 mph 2 seam fastball with awesome downward movement like a sinker. And this is coming from two good pitchers that played a long time in the game, and most likely talked to Wang (Leiter was with the Yankees last year, and Kaat is always around Yankee Stadium).

Mariano has a changeup? Is it like 90 mph? lol,

yes he does have a changeup, he has been working with Gator on it, it comes at 79 mph...but so far he has thrown it like 2 times

Here is the basis of my pitch list for Chien-Ming Wang: http://yankees.scout.com/2/350213.html

Since there is some confusion amongst sources, I am going to leave the sinker out of his pitch arsenal unless I come across another source besides Wikipedia that says he throws it. This source also says he throws a 4-Seamer, and doesn't mention a 2-Seamer. It is quite possible that he throws both. I'd like to see some more information about it if possible. Thanks for the help guys.

Wang (10-4) used his heavy sinker to overcome the errors by Rodriguez, who was replaced at third by Nick Green.

Jorge Posada was so impressed by Chien-Ming Wang's sinker last night that he couldn't come up with a reason to call any other pitch. So he didn't.

there you go...

Thanks for taking the time to find that. I'll update Wang's pitch list to include a sinker.

My apologies for being absent the past few days, my house has been without power since Friday morning, which translated into no internet either. It's back on and I'm getting caught up with everything, including this project, so please bear with me.

The first portion of the project has been released for download. If you have problems downloading the file, opening the file, or using it, please post in this thread and I will do my best to assist you. I ask that you please keep in mind that this is an ongoing project and more information will continue to be added as I come across more research. If you use the information I have collected and you would like future releases of the project, please provide me with some constructive feedback. Thanks all!

hey Ghostrider great release so far. more information on the pitcher surely would be awesome

for me it's enough the way it is

one (maybe dumb) question:

the pitchers who have not assigned a 4-seam heaterb don't really throw one ?!?

keep it up. looking forward to the next releases to complete with the upcoming UR (if totte doesn't include your work)
