JoeRudi26
I have been playing Colorado recently, and I noticed they when Clint Barmes came to the plate, they pronounced his last name wrong. The commentators pronounce it as BARMS. (rhymes with FARMS) As I've stated before, I'm from his home town and I know his family very well, and their last name is pronounced BARmus. I really haven't noticed any other names being pronounced wrong, but I play most of my games in the AL, so I don't hear alot of the names in the NL being pronounced. Not that it's a big deal (I think it's kind of funny), but has anybody heard other names mispronounced in MVP? Or any other Baseball Video Games? I can remember an old baseball game I had (MLB 97, I think) where they pronounced Andy Pettitte's last name as peTITE, the last syllable rhyming with KITE. Hilarious. :)
kgbaseball
Sometimes they pronounce Sergio Mitre's name wrong. If I remember correctly, it's Kuiper that says it both wrong and right. Sometimes he says "Me-tray" and others he says "My-ter" like a mitre saw.
JoeyMcM93
Actually, you pronounce Clint Barmes' name like that. BAR-MUS. It is spelled with an 'e'.
pip07
Aramis Ramirez is called Air-ah-miss, which always bothers me.

MancrushOnNomar
Aramis Ramirez is called Air-ah-miss, which always bothers me. Yeah, that bothers me too. There's also a weird glitch in Ronny Cedeno's name. It just doesn't flow very well from first to last names. In MVP 05 for Xbox (unmodded) for some reason it said Murton as "Hillson." mflv
They pronounce Jason Dubois as Dubwa but he pronounces it as Du-boys. Not sure where he's playing these days but he was on the Cubs for awhile.

cybernetic
They pronounce Gustavo Chacin wrong too.. they have his last name as Sha-keen when it's pronounced Sha-seen. Dubois is pronounced like Du-bwa in French so that's the reason for it.

Not sure where he's playing these days but he was on the Cubs for awhile. I've heard this last name pronounced both ways. We actually have a street in my home town with the same name, and it's pronouncec DUboyz as well.
The_Jerk
Most out of town broadcatsers outside of TO call Chacin wrong, usually something like "chasen'" or they make it sound like "cha" instead of "sha." I think the worst was last year in New York one of them called him "Cha-zine."
Cash #25
Marcus Thames of the Tigers is mispronounced. It should be "Tims" like the river in London, but it always comes out a drawly "Tams." Could be worse, however. He could have pronounced it "Thaymz."
abc006
This is REALLY wierd: When Mike Morse, utility man for the mariners steps up, the PA announcer says Mike Morse. But the commentary people say something that sounds like a name from the lion king, it sounds like "Fekuta" or something. So it's "fekuta fields and throws..." or "Fekuta grounds one to short". It's really... strange, and it's true. You have to have one of the updates, though. Try it.
kinghernandez
Ya, I noticed that about Morse too, but when I played a game with the Rainiers with him they pronounced it right. Wierd

However, Derek Jeter calls him canoe, as in rhymes with shoe.

NOTE- There is a bug in MVP 2005 which has mismatched PA and PBP audio for players with audio/portrait id numbers 3001-3240. To avoid this issue extract pnamehdr.big from "cleaned pbp_hdr" to your MVP 2005 directory/data/audio/spch_pbp/ and overwrite the old file prior to installing Total Audio 0.6 This bug will only affect players 3001-3240 that do not have audio installed by this mod.
