NYM
Let's face it, MVPmods, is the most popular baseball site, for MVP baseball, and baseball itself. What about making a sister site? Prefirbly a Madden and NBA live site. I wouldn't suggest NHL, because it doesn't get much attention. I know madden can't be modded, but still, we can run sim leagues, roster updates, forums, dynastys, and everything else, same goes with NBA Live.(I think NBA can be modde though). livemods.com or nbalivemods.com maddenmods.com Anyone for this? Then we can have a main site connecting all the sites together. Sort of like an all sports, EA game site with universal forums for all major sports. This is a great site, but why not make it better. We have so many people, and we can make this possible. Who is for this! Just think, we can get into millions of people with this. This can be the biggest sports game related thing on the net. Why not try it out. We will need somone to host the site/s. Most likely another CPG nuke site. Site colors will be related to the colors of the coverman team. I think this can become big. maxbjr
There already are mod sites for every EA game that can be modded. And there are links to them on this site and Total-Classics. As for grouping them all under one main site, that would mean single site owners giving up some control over their site to the main site. Also having one big EA game mod site might conflict with some EA Games copyright. It would definetly be seen by EA Games as a challenge to their own "offical" site. Right now EA Games has been really good about leaving these mod sites alone, no one wants to change that by possably provoking them. (note: these are my views on this subject, you'd have to ask a MVPmods admin for the offical MVPmods view on this subject )

DJEagles
NHL has a great site already with DMHD...and to say the NHL isn't popular...all you have to do is look at all the amazing mods they have.

I'm gonna have too disagree with you on that one. NHL games are awsome, I been playing them since '93 and each year I look forward too the release of the NHL series. NYM
Well would anyone be intersted in joining a Madden site? I think I might create one. Would anyone be intersted? It would kind of run like this site. Forums, downloads, leagues, tournaments, etc. Thoughts?

NYM
What should the site name be, for both madden and live, and do you think mvpmods can support it. Not like pay money, but just acknowledge it, maybe put a link on the site or something.

NYM
well i went with maddenmods for the madden site. I just need a name for the nba site. I want to keep it like mvpmods because its going to be affiliated with the site.
evil1182
nbamods.com is a catchy one.
jhath
nbalivemods to keep it consistent then... that would be the root name of the game + mods
jhath
actually nym, what i think you're looking for is one site that does it all... like expanding mvpmods to be a site with 3, maybe 4 sections (maybe hockey?), then it could be a huge site, where a lot of ppl know a lot of ppl and such... but, i doubt trues would go for it... you would prolly need diff sets of admin for each section
NYM
okay nbalivemods.com it is! BTW: Trues said he would sponser it if it becomes a success so we will need all the support we can get. I'll have both sites up soon.
The_Jerk
I'd love to see a madden site even if there isn't much to mod, but an NBA Live site really isn't needed. nbalive.org while the forum isn't very active anymore, the patchers there are the best and every year have patched as much as they can. NLSC also has more than enough mods to offer, and have very active forums. If anything, I'd would rather see that site merge with your new site so independent patchers could have their files hosted somewhere. The other problem I think you may run into is that neither Madden or Live is as patcher friendly as MVP. MVP modders are very spoiled. Almost everything in the game can be modded. It's not really the same case with the others. EA introduced .ebo files instead of the .o files, so headshape or player modelling is inpossible, and court editing is much harder. Jerseys, shoes, courts and overlays are really the only things the casual patcher can do. That being said I do admire the initiative, and it's not a surprise that this, the best mod site for any game I've seen is trying to further branch out. evil1182
If there's a will there's a way, almost anything can be modded these days, It's gonig to take alot of manpower to do it. I know i'm willing to help.
