Friends=Best show EVER???

Recommended Posts

Again, you're all missing the point. Late Night With Conan O'Brien is the best show on TV. Followed by the Office and the by Not American Idol.

The best thing about Conan was the Walker Texas Ranger clip lever: "Walker says I have AIDS" :lmao:

I am surprised nobody said That 70s Show. I think it is probably the funniest sitcom I have ever seen. It is just hilarious.

I totally agree, I PERSONALLY believe this show is better then friends.

Friends is just plain boring, IMO. The acting is way too scripted. I thought Seinfeld was a good show, Kings of Queens is very good, but my favorite sitcom is Cheers. I'm surprised it's only generated 1 mention so far.

The reason I brought up Seinfeld , Fresh Prince , and All in the Family as an elite few of sitcoms that were actually funny was because of shows like "That 70's Show" and "Home Improvement". Neither of these shows are funny (In home improvement , why the hell is the neighbor hiding behind a fence? What purpose does this serve?). These sitcoms may be funny to some but when I compare them with Alf , Family Matters , Dinosaurs , and the sitcoms I grew up to , few of today's sitcoms match the humor or wit in those shows.

Also to whoever was talking about those seinfeld moments, those are the only good ones, those are the ones they show when they are saying Watch Seinfeld at 7, to me there is absolutely nothing good about that show

Not true...the entire show consists of humorous situations that aren't just mentioned in the promos...I could write a list down of all the moments in one Seinfeld episode i found hilarious and it would be far longer than a list of Friends / 70's show / Home Improvement funny moments in one episode. There are only a few boring Seinfeld episodes and those were in the beginning like the one where Jerry and Elaine got bored and tried to have sexual relations , it was a horrible episode.

Favorites : Seinfeld , Simpsons , 24 , South Park , Wild N'Out , Mind of Mencia

to your question about the neighbor on home improvement, wilson is the moral conscience of the show... its obvious you watch sitcoms only to be entertained and you have little insight and analyzation into the piece. He was hidden behind the fence because morality and conscience is hidden. Home improvement had a point to most shows, if you were willing to think about it... most of todays comedies are pointless... including friends and so forth

But see, for someone to say i could write down a list of funny moments in one episode of Seinfeld and it would be longer than a list of funny moments in friends in one episode is stupid because its a list of moments YOU think are funny that someone else like me may not think are funny and vise versa

I like Seinfeld

Family Guy

Simpsons

War At Home

edit: Prison Break (I'm psyched for the next season)

Ever seen the Seinfeld episode where Jerry discovers that the "nonfat" pudding shop's pudding actually has fat. That's the greatest episode, they only play it once in awhile cause it has swears

I Hate Friends

Frasier (Could never get into it)

recently though if its not animated its not good

Seinfeld was a classic in the '90s, but the reruns are starting to feel dated. Some really great episodes though back in the early '90s, that broke new ground. The episode about the bet on who could hold out the longest from tossing off was an instant classic....and you knew it the moment it ended. So was the one on Shrinkage at the ocean house with Kraemer stealing the lobsters.

For my money, MASH is the all time best dramedy show, and it seems to be timeless. Just as good now as 30 years ago and always relevant. It can make you cry one second and bust out laughing the next.

Curb Your Enthusiasm has had some funny as heck shows. You have to be patient when watching because most of the time everything builds up to a great moment at the end of the episode.

Cheers was alot of fun too. Lot of laughs with that show and classic characters.

Friends was watchable, but not that noteworthy to me.

I've never been able to make it through a whole episode (of Seinfeld), and I've tried many times

I now have proof this person is strongly medicated. :o)

Seinfeld, BEST. SHOW. EVER.

Haha, can you buy that portait?

My brother gave me this portrait as a gift-as if I'd actually hang that up in my house! I'm not living like a frat boy, I'm a dude with a home, not an apartment.

EDIT: Currently enjoying LOST (watch free shows on watchlost.com -amazing stuff)

I just discovered a show called King Of Cars. I love it and have only seen 2 shows as of last night.

I can't watch Seinfeld, it just seems to dry and stingy, I can't really get into it

Not that there's anything wrong with that....

Futurama

Praise the Lord!!! Probably the most quotable show ever. And one of teh most under rated/under watched. Damn Fox. Damn you to hell. ALthough there are new straight to DVD movies coming out.

Frasier is probably the smartest sitcom out there. The way some of it is written is just incredible. Probably my favorite.

Friends is very watchable. Ive seen them all, but still usually end up watching them again every night on TBS and WB11.

Never had a chance to "get into" Seinfeld or CYE, although I keep hearing from friends and family how great they are

I like Conan, especially "Frankenstein wastes 2 minutes of our time". The skit is totally stupid, but I find it amusing.

The best thing about Conan was the Walker Texas Ranger clip lever: "Walker says I have AIDS" :lmao:

yes, Conan is the god of late night comedy - my favorite so far this year is the "evil puppy". i still miss andy richter though...

oh hell yes futurama - such quality writing.

My top 5:

Seinfeld

Futurama

Family Guy

South Park

Simpsons

Friends is watchable - haven't seen much of that 70's show. Cheers and Frasier never caught my attention - but Fresh Prince was also a quality show...just doesn't make my top 5.

i could probably list more, but I have to go "practice my stabbin"
