Applejak
Definately not as quotable as Seinfeld. Cant argue, as like I said I havent really watched it, but I reckon I'd give you a run for your money in a "quote off". :D

sfgiantsflgators
X-Files for me. love that show - although the last couple seasons could have been done much better... i realize part of it was the david duchoveny (close enough) contract situation...the show just isn't the same without mulder and scully's chemistry
Filthy57
Haha, can you buy that portait? My history teacher has it hung up on the wall in his classroom. For me, Seinfeld is just about the funniest show ever. Up there with Family Guy, Red Dwarf, Arrested Development, etc (the latter 3 of which I own at least one season on DVD, and in the case of Red Dwarf, 7 of 8 seasons). I've never been able to watch Friends.

DJEagles
I vote for The Office, Sportsnight, The Job, and Seinfield as the best comedies ever. With Entourage quickly climbing the list.

The Big O
I'd have to say Cheers is one of the all time greats and I'd rank it above Friends and Seinfeld. There were so many classic episodes: McHale counting the bolts at the Garden etc, Bar Wars vs. Gary's. And it probably had one of the most sucessful spin offs of all time with Frasier. For one of those other shows I'd toss in their for the originality was Mystery Science Theater 3000. There has never and will never be another show like it. I was addicted to this show in high school and college. It's a shame they decided to cancel it.
jp_hidalgo
Seinfeld is awesome, here in Argentina, there in USA, and in all the entire world.
pistonj92
. Curb Your Enthusiasm has had some funny as heck shows. You have to be patient when watching because most of the time everything builds up to a great moment at the end of the episode. Larry David the writer of Seinfeld and of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Really likes to have all the storylines crash into each other right at the end of an episode. It is almost to overused but it is still amazing to see how he can tie all these different storylines into one.
Fastflink2009
I recently ran into a friends forum on tv.com where some members are writing up a whole 11th season with scripts and everything. If you truly are a fan, you should check this out.
junglecub
Friends is one of the best shows ever, but the office? good god how that show even stays on the air is a mystery
Fastflink2009
The office is freakin hilarious, i guess its just a different sense of humor
AstroEric
Friends is one of the best shows ever, but the office? good god how that show even stays on the air is a mystery See...I'd say that, but the other way around. Why would I want to watch a bunch of young beautiful yuppies complain about why, despite being gainfully employed and sleeping around, and having really nice places to live, their lives suck? I'd rather watch a madcap comedy that actually reflects the human experience.
zeppelin99
I used to love Seinfeld several years ago when it was at its prime. Unfortunately, "they" ended the show with that miserable series finale. Lately when I happen to catch an episode, I don't enjoy it as much as I remember. I think the idea of the show was far greater than its actual quality. Nevertheless, it had a good run and was the apparent end of the cast members' television careers. I think the appeal of the Office is its familiarity. Across the nation, I'm sure anyone working in an office can identify with the show's characters. Peace. JoeyMcM93
The sad thing, The Office is very realistic. Friends had a great run, right up there with Seinfeld. I strongly agree with you zeppelin99, I don't enjoy Seidnfeld near as much as I used to.

Fastflink2009
For me it was the best because i just got so wrapped up in it like it was real, and when it ended I was really bummed, but hopefully they do a reunion show soon
ixcuincle
I still haven't seen the office yet...but in conversations a few months back with people in counter-strike source servers , they said the BBC version of the office was funnier. I rarely watch primetime network TV Monday - Friday because a sporting event is on that time...:D
DJEagles
The BBC version of The Office is a classic, but the american version is quickly catching up to it. I would have to say in 10 years time, people will look back at The Office the way they do Seinfeld now. They are both classics. Friends is a comedy for the masses, while Seinfeld and The Office cater to a different sort of humor.
Friedman
Friends is good, but not the best show on TV now. That would have to go to CSI.
