Keyboard Controller?

Is there any way to be able to actually play this game with a Keyboard as your main controller. I attempted to configure the control settings, however some settings cannot even be configured, such as pickoff moves and defensive player movement and locating swings/pitches. Is there a patch for this, is it possible, or do i just need to invest in a controller.

I would invest in a controller. I played this game with a keyboard for 2 months and got so sick of the lack of full control so I bought an Xbox controller for my PC.

Actually, keyboard can be used as main controller. I played around with a controller configuration and you can get a lead off or slide and other things that you mentioned. Here is my controller configuration for keyboard.

For example. To get the lead off if the player is on first use shift + right + 4 on numberpad ( you have to configure these to VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= key sc_numpad6

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= key sc_numpad4

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= key sc_numpad8

VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= key sc_numpad2

I figured this out about couple days ago so probably there are some flaws but if you play around with keyboard config. you will figure it out.
