Mav3rek
I just recently had to format my hard drive and start fresh w/everything. I installed MVP 2005 and have not downloaded any updates/mods what-so-ever. But everytime I try to start the game, after the opening videos the game crashes and I get the message mvp2005.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. This happens right before the CTS screen would come up. Any ideas?
boysetsfire
Yeah, the same thing happened to me a while back. I can't remember what I did though.

big shmooz
Are you saying your game crashes from a clean install off of a formatted hard drive? You did absolutely nothing to update the game? No EA patches? If so, It may be that the game somehow corrupted on the actual installation. My only real recommendation is to reinstall. (after uninstalling & deleting both mvp baseball 05 folders left on your harddrive)
snepp
I'll put my money on the video drivers.

Mav3rek
There's already a thread about this. http//www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=21774acutally it's different b/c i haven't played a game, or downloaded any cyber faces, or anything of that nature. this is 100% a fresh clean install of the game. Also, I just downloaded and installed the latest video drivers, and it gives me the same thing. I'm going to try a uninstall/reinstall and see how that works, but I highly doubt that will fix it. Edit: I did the uninstall/reinstall and it magically worked...shows what i know...
