Royal Blues
Pretty much everything was figured out through persistence, hard work, and, in some cases, sheer luck. As far as learning for yourself, there are tutorials and templates in the downloads section. The Search function will be your best friend.
sotiri
Pretty much everything was figured out through persistence, hard work, and, in some cases, sheer luck. As far as learning for yourself, there are tutorials and templates in the downloads section. The Search function will be your best friend. The tutorial section is not very large or helpful, can you possibly give me some keywords for the search or a useful website?

thespungo
You're either born a modder or you're the son of a modder. If you're an outsider wanting in, you must first get a modder to sponsor you, then your application will be reviewed by a panel of elder modders who will then choose to induct or banish you from the modder sect. This same process has been followed all throughout history from the very first modders of ancient Europe to today's contemporary modders. For more information, please consult your local library. bigbully
How do you all know how to edit almost EVEYTHING in MVP 05??? How can I learn? by asking that same question and most importantly - TRIAL BY ERROR. No, I didn't say trial and error, I said trial by error. The only way I learned was by trying and breaking things first. One of the first rules of modding you'll learn, back up your files.
tejdog1
HAHA! That's how I learned about computers And yes, back up your files! I found out the hard way editing the registry is NOT (repeat NOT) a good idea!

The_Jerk
Well the good thing about EA over the years is that most of their games use the same formats, so basically if you know how to mod the NHL series, you know how to mod the NBA Live series or the MVP series. I don't know if their is a list or description of the different file types, but once you get to know those and what tools they use, just practice and experimenting makes you better. big shmooz
I applied, but was rejected. However now with my uniform work I have done, especially on the moser uniforms, I am reapplying for modder status.

thespungo
Haha, "Thought Criminal;" I like that. And hey schmooz, I applied to the modder's group and got in, yet I don't have one of those "modder" tags above my avatar. How do you earn one of those? I'm assuming it's my thought crimes that are preventing me from earning that honor...
