Frogreaders
How do i pick someone off ? you may say "pickoff" + base button, yeah i knew this way but i never pickoff the AI even a single time ! However, AI seems to have a "quick" pickoff that always killing me... is it my controller.cfg problem or datafile problem or my skills problem ? Thanks
cybernetic
nah the game just made it almost impossible to ever pick anyone off.. I don't know if I've ever been able to in my almost 2 years of playing this game

Frogreaders
I picked damon once in the default MVP05...(w/o any updates) after EA updates, UR the rosters, now mvp06:LL...pickoff is just NO WAY! However, i notice that AI can pickoff at any moment but we must wait a sec or so,just for the pitch screen to showup!...that's weird!
cybernetic
I actually successfully picked someone off in last night's game it's all about timing.. I stalled for a while before throwing a pitch and then threw to first quickly to pick off Brian Roberts who was leaning towards 2nd base
kinghernandez
I think there is a way to do the quick pickoff move. It's in the manual that came with the game. I don't have it with me but it was a combination of a few buttons.
rossmac7
on my gamepad (logitech) pickoff is button 7 and the base. quick pick off is button 5 and the base

GoldGlove
There, there. Just adjust the sliders that correspond with pick-offs, homie :alright: Sorry, but I couldn't find one. So, anyway to make it possible for the player to pickoff the CPU?
SwinginSoriano
I had two pickoffs with Livan Hernandez. Doing a quick pickoff is as easy as doing a 'regular' one. However, they just never happen regularly.
YankeexDev
I wouldn't even bother since its impossible to pick the computer off. They always seem to be able to pick me off though.
Maestro23
Since the 06 Final Mod, I have picked the CPU off twice now. The first time I wrote it down, because I didn't believe it myself. I was Philly playing against STL. Pitching with Myers on on the mound, I caught Rolen leaning off of first base and got him by a mile. I wish I would have had FRAPS running to capture the moment. LOL Using the Top Left Shoulder Pad(Button 5) for pickoffs. Using: 06 Final Mod UR 7.5 Standard Hoop's All-Star Sliders MD's Datafile Logitech Dual Action Controller
