Spiderman is my favourite, he just has the coolest powers. I don't really like Batman because he has no powers and I don;t like Superman because they made him too powerful. Spiderman has powers but still has a human side. Not sure about my favourite villain.

I can not believe you called Spawn Old.

I'm in my late 20's and this kido is making me feel like my era of comics is old.

Wolverine, 1990s uniform where it was brownish. He looked scary so I decided to pick up Uncanny X-Men. Good thing I did because my collection will be worth money (Jim Lee, Marc Silvistri art)

My favorites are too many.

Wolverine

Bloodshot

Punisher

Savage Dragon

Spider-Man , Batman , and X-Men. Never read the comics but watched the cartoons a lot in the early 90's as a kid growing up.

I guess Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles count too , those cartoons on TV are absolute classics.

Hero: Batman - It was difficult for awhile to continue liking him most, after the original quadrilogy, byt Batman Begins brought it all back. His story makes the most sense and is the most powerful, and he jsut looks so damn cool.

Others:

Hellboy - Maybe the best art in any comic book series, Mike Mignola is a god.

Spiderman

Villians:

Venom

Joker

Mr. Freeze

When I was in college I took a classes titled "Buccaneers, Bandits, and Popular Culture." It was all about how heroes and villains are portrayed in movies and tv. The only assignment for the class was to do a project about a hero or a villain. I chose Batman because he is the coolest. TO do my research, I watched countless hours of the old Batman series on TV Land. I just enjoy watching Batman hit one of the joker's henchmen and having "wham" or "splat" come across the screen. Most of my friends make fun of me for watching that, but it is still one of my favorite shows.

i like watching the old shows and wondering if Robin was supposed to come off as gay. Holy hole in a donut Batman!

Don't be bad mouthing Burt Ward on his 61st birthday. That show was sweet.

On a somewhat related, but opposite note, who is the worst super hero ever? Not just who you dont like, but whose super powers were the worst.

My vote: Aquaman.

I was never much of a comic book reader but I used to watch the old X-Men show in the '90s, the Spiderman one and the Ironman one..

Those Shows were the greatest. Its too bad they dont have cartoons like them any more. Sadly enough I would still watch them. :D

It depends on which original you're talking about. The Bob Kane original? The Bob Haney years that most people think Batman started with?

It depends on which Dark Knight Batman comics you're talking about. Denny O'Neil's conversion of Batman into the Dark Knight? Yeah, it was great. Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller? Classic. No doubt about it. Dark Knight Strikes Again? A waste of my money.

My favorite hero: The Question

My favorite villain: Probably Two-Face.

After thinking about it awhile, I'd have to say Batman is my favorite hero. Spiderman, Prince Namor the submariner, Linser's Dawn, & Thor during the Jack Kirby era all were great. But Batman, (early years 1960-75 & the Dark Knight years) is the best. He uses his mind as well as his powers to defeat villians. Also Batman has some very interesting personal flaws that make him a more complete character then most "super" heros.

My favorite villians are a tie between The Joker & Dr Doom.

As a side note, if you want to read a really interesting graphic novel about super hero's, pick up Watchmen by Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons. It's a story about what the world world be like if super heros really did exist.
