Brewers Pull Off Blockbuster Deal!!

By Tom Haudricourt:

Doug Melvin pulled off one of the biggest moves in Brewers history. The players involved will be talked about for years and years to come. The Detroit Tigers may have gotten the better deal financially but the Brewers got the young talent.

MIL recieves:

SP Justin Verlander

SP Colby Lewis

RP Troy Percival

DET recieves

SP Tomo Ohka

SP Dave Bush

RP Jose Capellan

Although the loss of Jose may be a big one in the years to come, the gain of Verlander and Ohka overweighs that. Tomo was ice cold in his first start, and we did not get to see Dave Bush pitch this year. Recieving Percival will give the Brewers a great reliever for 1 to 2 years.

Brewers Lose yet Again! This time 12-0

BY TOM HAUDRICOURT

Isn't this depressing. The brewers lose again, this time, thanks to starter Colby Lewis. At least the relief didn't blow it.

Johnny Estrada was a triple away from the cycle and carried the offense.

Hot Player: Johnny Estrada.

Cold Player: Rickie weeks did not look as fluid out there as he usually does.

Verdict: I think bright things will come soon. Dan Reichart was good on the mound and proves that he can be a long term long reliever. Colby Lewis was pitching great until a grand slam from Tony Clark shook him up badly.

Actually the reason I got beat was because this was the first game I played with a gamepad I just bought a wireless one for $25.

Brewers deal Lee!

BY TOM HAUDRICOURT

The Brewers latest trade with the Mets goes as such.

MIL recieves

RP Billy Wagner

SS Jose Reyes

NYM recieve

LF Carlos Lee

P Brett Evert

Verdict: I like this deal. It gives Bill Hall a shot in the starting lineup and gives the Brewers a better closer than Turnbow. Turnbow will become the set up guy most likely.

Very excellent trade. Do you plan on keeping Bill Hall in the 3 spot?
Yes. I might put Miller in the 3 spot if he slips up. Miller because he is having a great season.
