Reds make series of trades to pick up extra postition players

Reds trade C Jason Larue to the Marlins for C Miguel Olivo

Reds trade SS Rich Aurilia to the Devil Rays for 3B Shawn Burroughs

Upton on the Block?

The Devil Rays placed B.J Upton on the trading block today and the Reds seem very interested at the young Shortsop. But the question is, should they go for him? They have no replacement for Felipe Lopez whose contract ends next year, and the AAA Shortsop William Bergolla seems very unhappy. Maybe the Devil Rays will bite if they throw in Bergolla who can play SS or 2B and a veteran pitcher, maybe Michalak. Who knows? Shold I go for him?

The problem with Upton has always been his defense.. he's terrible at shortstop and commits a lot of errors which is why he keeps getting held back in AAA. He commited over 40 errors last year and has 33 this year in AAA.

i was impressed with upton in my d-rays dynasty. when i simmed he hit in spurts, but when i was playing the games he did very well. defensive wise he struggled a bit the first month i called him up but the last couple months of the season, and in the playoffs, he was one of my best players. :D

Alright I thought of a great Idea, I'm doing a Homerun Derby before I post the all-star game, this is how it goes down. I picked the 8 guys for the Derby, 4 from each league. These were the guys that would do the derby and had the most homeruns (no old guys because now a days they start refusing because of risk of injury). So then I take these guys into the Homerun challenge mini game and I play with them and swing away (same rules apply, 10 outs and you are done). Then I take the 4 guys with the most HRs in the 1st round and put them into the 2nd round, and just like this year, HRs will carry over from the 1st round to the 2nd. Then the top 2 guys will battle it out in the finals. This is being done at PNC park, however the all-star game in my dynasty will be at comerica because there is no way to change it. How is this Idea? Also does anyone know where I can get this years all-star uniforms b/c otherwise they will be wearing last years.

that's a pretty good idea - good luck! :D as for the unis, i believe KC's most recent uniform update has the 06 version of ASG unis. not 100% sure though...
