Obviously the simming would take a good while longer than the updater but what would the differences be between the two methods? Schedule updater gives you the correct stats for the 05 season. Meaning whatever stats the players had in real life during the 05 season will be updated. But if you sim the games those stats are based on the games that you simmed and the real stats will not show up. I used to sim the 05 season and start with 06. But for me the stats never resembled the real stats. For instance, I could never get David Ortiz's HR total exceed more that 32-34. I just use the schdule updater and its an awesome tool. Yes. But your stats will be split. For instance if you go to a player's career stats page in the game, He would have 2 different stats for the 2005 season. He would have the real 2005 stats and he would also have the stats that you have been playing.
