Braves pennant run continues...

Ok so I downloaded the new 7.0 rosters and decided to run a braves dynstay. I have never made it through one whole year, but i figure if the braves streak ends this year maybe i can keep it alive for them

Game- using beta version of 06 mod

Diffuculty- all star no sliders using a datafile

I did not sign any free agents or anything i want to start off same way as braves are now, only change i made was to put Davies back in the rotation and sit down Thomson.. I got Sosa at closer for now but not sure how long that will last in real life.. I also sent Thomson to the minors and placed him on the trade blocks. I called up young pitching prospect Anthony Lerew. Also I edited Jeff francouer throwing power to 99  he is my favorite player in real life and I have watched him throw alot of people out from right so I felt 85 throwing power was low 8) .. So hope a few of you enjoy reading it.. It will probably take 2 years to finsh lol

Right on man. I'm doing the same thing already played a few dynasties like that, but every new UR roster update, and big schmooz updates, i start a new one with. I love this game with all the mods. I use umachines uni mods, but i changed all the batting gloves, cleats, wrist bands to use Nike brand and Under Amour stuff.

Opening Day 2006 vs Dodgers

Starting Pitchers John Smoltz and Derrick Lowe

Braves open the season on the road and come away with a 3-2win over the Dodgers. Derrick Lowe pitched great gathering 11 K's but got no run support from his team as veteran ace Smoltz throws a CG with 6 K's for the win. The game started with a Reintara triple in the 1st followed by a Chipper Jones double to drive him in. In the sixth Reintara had another double. This time Chipper struck out and then the Dodgers decided to walk Andrew Jones, well that was a mistake as Francouer sends a shot to RF driving in 2 runs on the single. Those were keys runs in the game and the game winning runs. Smoltz was steady until the ninth when JD Drew got on with a double. Bobby Cox called Sosa to the pen but after a mound visit Smoltz told Bobby to go sit down he had it and then promptly gives up a 2 run shot to Bill Mueller with a high and tight fastball...DOH ..After Cruz Jr. strikes out the Dodgers sub in Kenny Lofton who sends a tailing shot in the left-center gap.. Andrew Jones is tracking and has no choice but to lay out for the ball .. somehow he comes away with the ball and Braves win on opening day.

Game 2 Dodgers 5 Braves 1

Game 2 featured two star pitchers in Brad Penny and Tim Hudson, and both of these guy had their A game going today. Braves got on the board first with a 2 out single in the 2nd by Brian McCann to drive in Andrew Jones for a 1-0 lead. That score would hold through the 6th when Nomar slaps a leadoff HR over the center field fence to tie the game 1-1, then catcher Toby Hall knocks a 2 run shot to really break the scoring open at 4-1. Hudson was solid untill getting rocked in the 6th. Dodgers add 1 more of young prospect Larew in the 7 th to end the scoring. Braves bats really struggled again striking out 12 times and only picking up 7 hits. The backbreaker was having the bases loaded with 1 out in the 7th and coming away with no runs. After the game we caught up with Bobby Cox and he had this to say" Our pitching is doing enough to win but if we cant keep from striking out and put some runs on the board we are in for a long season." Braves finsh off the 3 game set tommorow with Kyle davies facing off vs. Odalis Perez. After this game the braves will continue on their west coast stint with a trip to San Francisco.

Game 3 Braves 3 Dodgers 2

Bullpen blunders for the Braves looks like it could be the theme to this season.Braves manage to hold on for the win but it didnt come easy. Kyle Davies had his best stuff tonight throwing 7 inns tonight only allowing 5 hits and striking out 6 batters. He left in the 7th after giving up a lead off single. Reitsma was called in and after another single he promptly gives up a 2 run double to superstar Jd Drew. Score 3-2. At this point the move to the pen is made and Jorge Sosa comes in and gets Kent to strike out to end the jam. As Kent goes back to the dugout he hears th e BOOOs from the fans in LA. In the 9th we decide to go with newly called up Joey Devine to get the save. The Dodgers manage to get runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out off to misplayed ground balls but the braves infield. Devine is calmed down after a mound visit and gets LF Repko to fly out and then strikes out P Baez to end the game.. After the game when asked why he didnt pinch hit for the P in the 9th grady little had this to say "Get the #$%^ out of my face " Obviously he wasnt happy about the loss.. Braves bats did better this game only striking out 7 times and getting 2 solo shots from Marcus Giles and Chipper Jones...

*sidenotes* Bobby Cox was ejected in the 2nd inn. for arguing a call at first.. After the game when asked about the call he had this to say.. "I have seen alot of bad calls in my time but this call was so easy a drunken sailor would have seen it. That umpire needs to have his vision checked and please tell him I said so.' Im sure I will be fined for my comments but something has to be done about goofballs like this umpiring big league ball games."

I like what you are doing with the dynasty, but the graphics need help. Try downloading 3D Analyze, it will make your graphics much, much better. There are numerous threads on the site that will lead to downloading 3D Analyze, therefore improving your gameplay.

I pretty much suck doing graphics lol.. I just opened the pictures in paint and made them smaller.. I did a search for 3d analyze but it pulled up everything but what i needed.. You mind explaing what it is and how would it improve my gameplay? I have a low end pc with a 5200 pci card so the graphics probably cant be much better.. I run in 800x600 and most things on low.. Thanks for reading

Breaking news out of Atlanta... New GM makes his mark early in the season with a shocking trade of Horacio Rameriz

6889.jpg

for the young star from Minnesota Francisco Liriano

To make the trade work Braves threw in another pitcher and in exchange recieved a LF to ride the bench on the A team in Myrtle Beach.

The word of the trade comes across the waiver wires

*might not be super realistic lol but to keep intrest for 162 games I need to put my own personal touches on it  *

Even if you run your graphics all on high and it runs smoothly does 3Danalyze make it look even better than normal high?

GAME 4 GIANTS 10 BRAVES 2

The Braves west coast trip leads them into San Francisco for their second seris of this young season. Newly acquired SP Liriano was due to take the mound after a red-eye flight into San Fran to catch up with the team. The game opened well, to bad Braves fans cant say the same about the end. After Reintra got on with a single in the first Chipper Jones crushes a high and tight changeup into the bay for a 2-0 lead. In the second the Giants manage to get one run back off a 2 out full count single by Barry Bonds. Liriano stayed strong untill the 6th where he got smacked for back to back HR's by Moses Alou and Lance Neirko.

At this point Braves turned to the pen and this is when the troubles began. Jorge Sosa came in and was able to get 3 outs and get out of the jam, but the true damage came when Reistma came in and things got ugly. Bonds homered and then struck out to end the inning. The Giants would bat around in the 7th to break the game wide open. Reistma gave up 4 runs followed by Devine giving up two more in the 8th to make the final score 10-2. Giants move to 4-0 on the season. After the GM and Headcoaches were seen to be in secret talks to bring some big name punch to the lineup.

you actually want to absorb 55 million in salary from the Jays for Burnett? Also I don't see how that is a fair trade.. how did you get the Jays to accept it? Did you turn off fair trades? Budgets?
