redsox
One of my friends talked me into playing F.E.A.R. I gotta tell you guys. It just scared the hell out of me. Things happen when you least expect it and the AI is just unbelivable. You can't just have the most powerful gun in the game and starting shooting people. The game requires that you play with finesse. AI is so clever that it will actually hide and throw bombs to flush you out and stuff like that. This is truly one of the great first person shooter games that I have played (and I haven't played a lot). I don't want to spoil the game for anybody but to me one of the scariest moments was when I was climbing up a ladder and the girl (she is a ghost) just came out of nowhere and stands in front of you. Her standing there is something that you would never expect. I have been playing this game for about 2 weeks now and one thing I have learnt is never to play this alone at night. I have just started interval 9 and I hope to finish this game soon (cause I want to know how it ends).
nanner
I heard it's multiplayer is wikkid too. I haven't played a multiplayer shooter since the Counterstrike Source followup to the shooters that started all shooters, Counterstrike. I hear BF 2 is pretty wikkid in that department too, BF1942 was pretty cool. If you've tried the multiplayer, tell me how it runs. Maybe I'll pick it up for that. I'm an online kind of guy, not really into the single player thing although I hear amazing things about how creepy this game is and how the AI and engine is unbelievable. JoeRudi26
As I've said before, this game is incredible. The AI is the smartest I've ever seen. I killed the last enemy on one of the rooftops (or so I thought) and things got extremely quiet. As I was making my way past his dead body to enter the building, he jumped up and started pounding me. Alma's pretty spooky too. 8O
redsox
Its the way in which Alma presents herself that scares the crap out of me. There are times where you try to hide and look for any enemy movements and then you sense this unknown prsence and boom! There she is. The dreams are also well done. There is no warning. You are playing the game and all of a sudden you go into slow motion and everthing around you changes. One thing I forgot to mention was the physics of the game. Whenever you fire an automatic weapon you can see and hear the shell casings falling on the floor. The graphics are amazing and whenever you use a nail gun and actually nail someone you can actually see those nails through that person. Can also witness the damage on the walls. redsox
I don't play that many multiplayer games at all. Infact the only games that I used to play are Diablo II LOD and I used to play MVP 05 with my friends but not anymore. But I have heard that Counterstrike and Half-Life II are some of the greatest multiplayer games.
PeoplesWar
F.E.A.R. is one of the best games ever, hands down. It is so rare to see a game like this, the immersion and action are just unparalleled.
