MILWAUKEE - Brewers skipper Ned Yost has comments to those non believers this season. "We have the young talent this year, with players like Fielder and Weeks, we're not only going to step up the offense but the pitching too". Last year the Brewers offense was one the weakest in the league ranking near last in all categories. Brewers ace Ben Sheets scheduled to open the season against the pirates tomorrow at Miller Park.

Brewers take 2, Pitching lacks for sweep

MILWAUKEE - Thanks to positive outings from Ben Sheets and Doug Davis the Brewers were easily able to take the series. Ben Sheets held the Pirates to 7 hits in 8 innings with 0 runs. The Brewers, thanks to a Prince Fielder Home run were able to snatch game 1 from the Pittsburgh Pirates giving Oliver Perez the loss.

Game 2 of the exciting series featured Doug Davis at his best allowing just 1 run in the 1st, he was able to pitch a compete game. Prince Fielder was honored to homer again! The momentum was fueled by a 4 run 2nd inning.

Abreu to Brewers for Jenkins, Kolb

MILWAUKEE - The Brewers completed a big trade that sends Philly star Bobby Abreu to the Brewers for Right Fielder Jeoff Jenkins and reliever Dan Kolb. The reason for the trade was the lack of developement for Jeoff Jenkins, he currently strikes out more than any other Brewer in the organization. Abreu will provide the defense that Jeoff did plus an added offense.

Brewers sweep Diamondbacks

MILWAUKEE - Winning is good but to kill your opponent is even better. The Brewers went into the series 2-1 and came out 5-1 and atop of the standings.

Brewers set to take on the redbirds

Opening up stadiums are fun for the Brewers, infact there so fun the Brewers usually win. They helped Toronto open the skydome up and then beat them, as well as for the Rangers too. What will come for Busch II though? Ned Yost had this say "The Cardinals are a good team with Albert Pujols and other players like Eckstein, I think we'd be lucky to take 1 game."

Injury Notice: Center fielder Brady Clark injured his arm diving into 2nd base on the 3rd game of the Diamondbacks series, he will be out for the season, Corey Hart will take his place.
