Create-A-Stadium Batter's Eye Fix

I don't know how many people are playing Owner's Mode, but I have made a small edit to the CAS Batter's Eye.

When playing here, the Batter's Eye (green backdrop behind pitcher) was all but useless to me, as the pitcher's delivery point was right in front of the white railing of the building in Center. I edited the width and height of the batter's eye so that you have a real backdrop to see against, and it doesn't get lost.

I also removed the Going, Going, Going, Gone signs from the lightposts.

Here are some pictures

I will upload tomorrow if anyone is interested

Kelvarr, thanks a lot for this mod. Great work! I had to get rid of the Pirates logo behind home plate, though. The people in Toronto wouldn't have like that. :D

Thanks. Hehe...I forgot about that logo...luckily it is easily changed.

I take it the batter's eye is sized more appropriately now? I was worried that it might still be a little short for people who have a different batting view than I use (a custom low batting view from KSM).

Yeah, the size of the batter's eye is perfect now. I'm using batting view #5 (the default one) and now I can finally see the pitches completely. Thanks again!

You should maybe edit the height of the batters eye so it goes up to the edge of the scoreboard, b/c with a taller pitcher he might go up over the batters eye

Hmmm....maybe I'll test it tonight with a 7' (or close to that) overhand delivery pitcher. That would be a good test.

Unless someone wants to try that who isn't at work right now and let me know...otherwise, it has to wait until about 10pm before I can look at it again.

Ok...I tested a 7'0 pitcher with Keith Foulke's delivery (highest release point I could find) and made some changes to the batter's eye again. This time I raised it so that in the unlikely chance you get a pitcher that tall, his pitches would still be in front of the batter's eye.

Here are some pictures. I would like to find out which you guys prefer: 1) Original 2) High Wall (wall up to scoreboard) 3) Low Wall (wall up to top of building).

Low Wall:

I think for functionality, it'll work best all the way up to the scoreboard. I haven't been able to see the batters eye in my game though. I followed the directions in the readme, and then started a new owner mode (no stadium upgrades). I can see the Pirates logo behind home plate, but no batter's eye. Any ideas?

Hi Kelvarr,

Is there any way we can get the batter's eye in the 1st or 2nd level of the scoreboard additions in the "buy assets" in owner mode. I think it is only available after you have spent $17 million $$$$$ .

Thanks,

Sammy

To my knowledge, no....however, you could do what I did.

I used ArtMoney to give myself ~$50Million for stadium upgrades (it doesn't go too far). I didn't want to create the entire stadium, but I didn't want to just have the bare minimum. I would suggest spending a large portion of that on Scoreboard and Seating upgrades.
