Bama
Ok a few things... First, there's a forum entitled 'Tech Talk', there's also a forum called 'MVP 2005 Support'. This topic should be in one of those places. Second, you're not being clear enough, you didn't give any technical specifications. Third, I don't see why an Apple Monitor should make any difference, a monitor is a monitor (which by the way does not run the game). So please, post some technical specifications or clarification and we'll be more able to assist you.
maxbjr
you might have your vidio card setup incorrectly for the monitor, so it will run somethings but not others. but posting your tech specifications would help alot. without them, all we can do is guess about the problem and possable solutions
fenominon
sorry about posting this in the wrong topic area. I'm not sure what info you need. I have a 1.7 ghz amd athlon, I don't know what video card I have (my hard drive recently crashed and I needed to get a new one, so I'm starting from scratch). I am reasonably technically savvy, but for some reason i can't find where it tells me what kind of video card i have. When i try to run the game it says the following error "mvp baseball requires direct x 9 and hardware accelerator" I downloaded dx9 but still get the same message. what other info might you need to help me with this problem? thanks for you help! fizzjob
Chances are, if you had to re-install Windows, you're using video drivers that MVP won't work with, and you'll need to re-download/re-install them. You can find out what kind of video card you have by: 1) right-click on "My Computer" 2) select "Properties" 3) choose the "Hardware" tab 4) click on "Device Manager" 5) click on the plus sign next to "Display Adapters" ...at the least, that will tell you what card Windows thinks you have. If that doesn't give you enough information, just open up the case and check to see if the card indicates a make/model.
fenominon
thanks fizzjob, i'll try that and see if it works. that's what i thought might be the problem. i went to the device manager and it has a big yellow question mark where the video card and monitor should be. it isn't even acknowledging that there is a monitor. i'll let you know if it works. thanks for the advice.
