Could someone with picture connections get me the MLB high-rez shot of Mariner top prospect, Adam Jones? I have checked the MLB pressbox and its not there. I know he has one because getty is loaded with them.. unfortunatley they are, of course, no use due to size and watermark.

see.. Getty pic

I want to make a cyber for him asap since he is getting a call to the big club after the All-Star break. Another 20 year old phenom on the rise.

Ah, I wanted to make a 05 face for him. The 04 face looks too skinny.

If I may ask man.. where are you finding these? I looked all over pressbox and it only shows the 40 man roster guys as far as I can see..

Appreciate it partna!

Ow, little cold sore. What happened to old glass bones Snelling? I thought he was getting called up.

Everyone that I know on the Mariner tip is shocked as hell that they are bringing up the 20 year old Jones. I personally think they are waiting to bring up Doyle (Snelling) until they can rid themselve of Carl Everett, aka CRex. Cause that dude would throw a astronomical crybaby fit if he was benched. He already exploded on Hargrove once after he was pinch hit for against a lefty.

Carl needs to go ..now! and take his .220 something average with him.

King,

It does really take some experience even to make some average faces. I started fooling around with it last year and made some stinkers before I got even 'ok' at it.

I really look at some of the vets like jogar and am amazed. Have you checked out the guy who made the Tampa pack (w/Zack Duke)? Unreal stuff there.. I took a look at his textures and was like.... 'wow'.

He is good.

Thanks KG. I knew you would come through.. haha

Are you using that thing where you just put in his link for the MLB page? If so, just use his ID number on the minor league page, I think that works.

Is that how you guys do it? Now I feel dumb.

As D-Unit said, the player ID applies to not only the bio page, but also the pressbox photos. The quickest way to get a pressbox image is to do a player search on MLB.com, note the player's ID number by hovering over the link, then simply change the URL of an existing pressbox photo to have the player's ID. If he has a pressbox photo, it will show up.

My whole problem is with the prospects that are not on the 40 man and have no bio on MLB.com. Most of the young guys (eg. Jeff Clement, Matt Tuiasosopo) that were in Spring Training had a pressbox photo. I just don't know how KG finds them short of doing blind searches plugging in random numbers.

Kind of a moot point now that milb uses the same id system,

but for players that didn't show up in mlb.com's search engine I'd would have a look at the spring traning player statistics and find the player id that way.

I got it now. I was using the search engine at MLB.com and it would only bring up articles and such since the player had no major league bio. Searching MiLB.com is another story.

Dur.
