nc4182 Posted July 13, 2006 Share Posted July 13, 2006 I was recently playing a game in my Cubs dynasty against the padres. Jake Peavy was pitted against Mark Prior. I started the game Juan Pierre lead off single. Carl Crawford comes up (traded for him) He throws a 2 seam fastball that just falls to the ground! It goes up like an Ephus pitch but just dropped like dead weight. On anaother occasion in this game he would throw it and it would dissapear and be called a strike! Has this happend to anyone else? Sean O Posted July 13, 2006 Share Posted July 13, 2006 I believe this means that the speed is set to 0 mph, since this has happened to me a number of times with different pitchers. I guess each time this happens, someone should post the name so it can be fixed in the future. Just wish I'd kept track of what was happening. jonalano013 Posted July 13, 2006 Share Posted July 13, 2006 i've done that before with a guy i created and i gave him a curveball but i fogot to set a speed and you would see guys swinging like when the pitch was still in the air. it was hilarious. but then i figured out it was because of the lack of speed. So I would align my defense to sac bunt and put my CF crawford right up the gut, and try and throw out the runner at 1st. But this really sucks. I just drafted a team with Lugo, Yougn, Arod, Casey, Texiera, Crawford, and Molina. Along with Jake. Now i got to do it all over again. *sigh* I loved that team too.
