Jeremy Accardo would finish the game, giving up no runs on four hits, and assuring the Giants of a series win. Game three saw the Giants going for a sweep, with Noah Lowry (2-0) looking to remain undefeated. The Mets sent out Pedro Martinez to prevent the sweep. Martinez was effective, allowing three runs on five hits over seven innings. Lowry gave up just one however, going 7.1 innings, with eight hits surrendered.
