sfgiantsflgators
2006: A Rivalry Renewed (Part 2) The Bums come to town this weekend to face off against the Giants. In the first matchup this season, a three game set in Los Angeles, the Giants took two of three. Game one of the first home series in Rivalry 2006 will feature the Dodgers' Derek Lowe going up against new Giant, Matt Morris. Morris is new to the rivalry but had this to say earlier today: "I understand the rivalry and I can't wait to be a part of this. Jason [schmidt] was telling me about the excitement of pitching here in San Francisco when the 'Beat LA' chant begins - I'm going to do my damndest to bring the fans a win." Get a good night sleep fans - the Giants currently sit 4.5 games ahead of the Dodgers for first in the West. Let's send the Bums home down 7.5! Next Series: vs. Los Angeles

sfgiantsflgators
here you go. thanks man - i really do appreciate it (but it's "cove shots" ). now for the dynasty-related part of the post: i got a promotion at work - which gives me more to do (but i love it!) however, that means the "downtime" i used to have is pretty much taken up. so all the time i spent with this dynasty has shrunk to me being able to play one game every once and awhile. therefore, the updates will cease for awhile - if i get any time, i'll throw up the standings, league leaders, and any big transactions. but, for the most part, the updates won't be happening often. for anyone following it regularly, sorry...fastflink and hokieboy have some damn good ones going - i'd definitely recommend checking those out :D
cybernetic
Hey.. what can you tell me about Jeremy Accardo? Apparantly, the Jays have acquired him in a deal for Hillenbrand according to some guys on the ESPN board.

sfgiantsflgators
nice dynasty, Giants could be great, ya know - I'm following, even though I'm a bit late thanks for the support - sorry you discovered the dynasty just as i am running out of free time to keep it updated regularly. in other news, just a note that i'm not going to do the recent hillenbrand trade in my dynasty - it makes no sense for the future of the giants. and since i'm going to play the dynasty for longer than this season, the future is a major factor in any moves i make. cybernetic
That's the same attitude that the Reds dynasty has about the 8-player deal
sfgiantsflgators
That's the same attitude that the Reds dynasty has about the 8-player deal as well he should - because that trade was more ******* ridiculous than this one. i guess, in reality, giving up accardo (linden's not involved - see "trade rumor" thread) isn't a bad choice for getting a steady first baseman. but accardo could become a damned good reliever in the future - so i'm not giving up a good bullpen guy for a rent-a-player.
