Maestro23
If you're going to make the jump, go up to 19". They are really cheap now. I have an LG 19" Flatscreen LCD (4ms response time, 1400:1 contrast ratio) with an ATI X1600 Pro and gaming has never been better.

Matroska
Id get a CRT monitor, that way when friends come over they can watch you play your games. Plus if you punch an LCD monitor really hard it could turn out pretty bad.

Maestro23
How do you run dual displays? CRT running off the Analog port on the card. LCD running off the DVI port on the card. Need a DVI cable for the digital signal to the LCD. Displays are controlled by the Catalyst Control Center software.
RAM
i just got a 19 inch BENQ (they make the dell LCD's) gaming LCD with 2ms response time, dvi and dsub inputs for $215 on buy.com. arrived in 3 days with free shipping and had NO dead pixels. this thing is totally incredible. i've been recommending buy.com for a long time for lcd monitors. they simply have the best prices on them and they have free shipping as well. i got mine fast but they're in california and so am i. you may opt for a different shipping option it just depends on how patient you are. Homer
i use a 17" widescreen bright screen. it's the best. but that's my laptop (HP). however, i have found that connecting it to my roommate's 62" widescreen is also pretty damned cool. the bigger the better right? mva5580
I'm running the Dell 2407fpw 24" LCD widescreen at 1920 x 1200. UN-BE-FREAKING-LIEVABLE. Seriously. Everytime I'm on the computer, I'm in awe.
MVPOAKAS
I once used my projector to play MVP on my 80" screen, but I think that's a little bit overdoing it.

Sidewinder
About a month ago, I picked up a Visio 37" HDTV LCD at Sams Club for under $1200. Costco also carries them. It has an 8 ms response and runs Win XP at 1366x768 and games at 1024x768 and looks fantastic. It has an RGB imput that it recommends to use. I tried a DVI to HDMI converter but it seemed to have trouble syncing up most of the time. With the RGB, everything works just like it did on my 19" LCD except I can play in 16x9 widescreen mode which looks outstanding with MVP. It has PIP and POP(split screen). Black levels and colors are right on as are shades of grey. Text is sharp. Playing Madden was great for seeing downfield as was FIFA World Cup. There is the same exact model but in a 32" for about $800 with the same specs that is a really good deal too. If you have some discretionary income laying around, you wont be sorry.
