Built from Within: A New York Mets dynasty

I love your dynasty and everything, but have you considered using some colors? It would make your dynasty look a lot more presentable.

What system are you playing on by the way?

Colors? Where would I put colors in?

And I'm playing on an old old old Dell T600r (got it for my 16th birthday 6 1/2 years ago).

Look at the text box that you can type your posts in. Look at the options, and the one on the top right that says "default" is the one that can change colors. If you want, you can select a certain amount of text, and then click on the "default" scroll and choose a color which it will change the text to. The color is coded, so you can only see what it will look like when you preview or post.

Or if you wanna do it manually, try using and this text here will be that color and ends with .

Game 43: DBacks @ Mets

Edgar Gonzalez (2-3, 3.57) vs Mike Pelfrey (5-0, 4.77)

Mike Pelfrey couldn't escape the first inning, giving up 6 runs, as the string of bad starting pitching continued.

Shawn Hairston singled to lead off the nightmare, Orlando Hudson walked, and Ryan Howard singled home Hairston. Conor Jackson lifted a sac fly to score Hudson. Luis Garcia and Carlos Quentin walked to load the bases. Todd Wilson singled home a pair, and with two down, the knockout was delievered by the opposing pitcher, a 2 run triple to cap the 6 run deluge. Tanyon Sturtze came in and retired Hairston on a grounder to put an end to the nightmare.

The Mets got 3 of those runs back in the 3rd. Sturtze reached on an error by Gonzalez, Jose Reyes singled, and with one down, Carlos Beltran singled to load the bases. With two down, David Wright singled home a run, and Victor Diaz doubled home a pair, cutting the DBack lead in half, 6-3.

Sturtze gave up a pair in the 5th, widening the deficit to 5. Jonathan Broxton came in and gave up 4 runs in his 3 innings of work, leaving the game with an 8 run deficit. The Mets lost, 12-5.

"This is a very disturbing trend that we need to work on." Tejesh said after the game, of the 3 game losing streak. "Streaks happen, but continuously giving up runs in bunches like this can be corrected."

The Mets today rested Jose Reyes and Jeff Keppinger, playing Chris Woodward and Ty Wiggington in their places. Lastings Milledge was moved to the leadoff spot, and Paul Lo Duca batted second.

"We like our flexibility with the lineup. Our 7-8 hitters are good enough to be 1-2 for just about any other team in baseball, that gives you tremendous depth." Tejesh said.

Kazmir and Stauffer threw up competing 0's into the 6th, when Kazmir cracked. Bobby Hill doubled with one down, and scored on Benji Molina's single, putting San Diego on the board, 1-0.

That was a pretty solid victory. Dotel is doing well across town isn't he?

:contract: 6 Degrees of Seperation Time ;)

Octavio Dotel and Roger Cedeno were traded to Houston for Mike Hampton after the 1999 season. Hampton stayed one year and left, and we got a sandwich pick after the first round in 2001. That pick, #38 overall, was...

David "Darkwing" Wright :)

To accomplish that, the Mets cut relievers Juan Padilla, Tim LaVigne and Blake McGinley. They also traded Maldonado Oquendo and Aaron Gibbons to the Florida Marlins for AAA RP Ryan Tucker. Finally, they signed AAA SP Jae-Kuk Ryu for 3 years, at $1.7m per year.
